Fabia vrs : factory options, desirability & aftermarket installs

Featured Replies

just asking on here as done a search but thought to ask specifically.

What factory options did the fabia have available (talking 04+ vrs)?

what ones are commonplace (ie they are commonly found) and do they add any value to the used price?

what ones can be retrofitted (ie like the cruise control) and what cost?

and finally, are they any good (ie xenon headlamps, worth the cost?)

cheers all..

1. Try Parker's which will give you a listing of all the kit and options.

2. A lot of them seem to be floating round as just standard. No option adds much to the price of any car really, it just makes it more sellable.

3. You will need to search, Cruise is about the only one TBH apart from mudflaps that can be fitted economically

4. The xenons are brilliant, get a fabia with these and you will find it hard to go back to a car without. I like cruise but that is what it is. ESP is worth it no matter what car it's fitted to and a lot of people like heated seats.

coopers and I have posted electronic versions of some UK Fabia brochures (at various points in time) in the Reference Section here, which show the options available at those times.

HTH

I have heated seats and cruise :)

Tbh cruise is amazing, retro fit it for around 300 quid and you'll be very happy

Xenon's arent worth the cost of retro fitting

Both our cars have Xenons (superb), cruise (so necessary these days) and also heated seats (awesome in the winter). All fitted factory options.

The Mrs' car also has a third rear head rest - no use but looks nice :)

I think the first three options all add good value to the car, espcially xenons.

Wish I heated seats :(

Have a Vindaloo the night before and you can heat your seats yourself:rofl:

Before I procured my vRS, I was looking around at second-hand examples on dealer forecourts, must where pretty much standard with the exception of cruise control...etc...

...however the most interesting one I saw was a Silver 06" Plate vRS that had Sat Nav, and a Maxi-Dot display installed. Naturally the Sat Nav and Maxi go hand in hand, but what surprised me was firstly it was only £100 more then the other 06 Plate vRS's and they could not sell her for love nor money. Was very odd. On a side note though the Maxi-Dot + Sat Nav did look very smart, and it made the Furby look very executive, and surprisingly different inside.

Can get it done for half that on here or from eBay.

I do it for just over half of that.
