  1. Thank you for replying that's very helpful. If I hand it back and any damage has decreased the value, presumably I will pay them for the repair costs?
  2. After some advice from anybody that's been on a PCP deal... I'm about 17 months into a PCP deal on my Fabia on a 10k a year mileage limit. This was my first brand new car and I am beginning to regret it due to having knocked it a few times and alloy damage from kirb scraping (partner's fault!) We are currently saving up some money to get the repairs done on the bodywork and additionally we have moved house and I know the mileage will 100% go higher than the 10k allowance-probably by 5k a year Question 1- If I voluntarily terminate or go til the end of contract, would they pay me anything for the car's current value? And if so would it decrease based on any damage etc? Question 2-Do I pay excess mileage when voluntarily terminating? Currently I am about 500 miles over but the longer I keep the car, this will definitely rise. Of course I know I could always keep the car...tempting because I am paying the lower road tax due to year of manufacture (£20 a year). If I get a newer version it'll be £150+ pa. Love the car, but made a mistake with picking black-should have gone for silver or white!
  3. Christmas day nightmare for me as I reversed out of my driveway and backed into a parked car Damage to my black fabia is a football sized dent to the right hand side of the bumper. Been advised by some that it could be sucked out with use of heat and a plunger like on the Youtube vids. Anyone have experience of this? I'm not too confident about it. Looks like the bumper is made of plastic and no paintwork damage.
  4. Thanks Georgef, they have certainly restored any faith lost. I have the SE trim. Black magic paint
  5. Yes absolutely but unfortunately it never happened. He's since told the manager that he wasn't aware he'd arranged collection for last night but I had emailed him yesterday afternoon about it. Definitely some wires crossed somewhere! Worked out well anyway. Car delivered today with full tank and they've ordered me some rubber mats to throw in and two services. It's the least they couldn't have done for the inconvenience. Absolutely love the car! Best choice I made
  6. Unforeseen circumstances was my sales exec had a family emergency earlier in the day and only he was dealing with my order etc unfortunately when I turned up nobody there knew a thing about it and they said it wasn't taxed etc. I got the impression it wouldn't have been ready even if my sales exec was there. Some of it can't be helped but somebody could have rang me and saved me all the effort!
  7. Hi everyone So I went to collect my new fabia tonight but due to unforeseen circumstances the car wasn't ready and it was a wasted journey. Very annoying when I busted a gut to get out of work earlier and then fight through traffic to get there :( When I arrived they appeared mortified for what had happened and have now offered to deliver it to me with a full tank of petrol. Hoping this will be tomorrow but they can't guarantee this! I've gone a bit off track here I know but I'm wondering whether to ask them if they can throw in some skoda car mats as well as a good will gesture but before I do can anyone advise if they come with them anyway? Thank you
  8. Thank you all. I will probably bring it up anyway because the carwow offer included free delivery. It could be my own error but it's worth asking anyway. Looking forward to updating on how I'm finding the new car. Thanks again
  9. Hello everyone. Hoping someone might be able to shed some light on the new car delivery charges. I bought a brand new skoda fabia 1.2 TSI SE yesterday on their pcp deal. Very excited to pick it up next week. Put £100 deposit down on it and signed the order and agreement. However when I've got home I have checked through it in more detail and they've charged me £491 delivery charge. However they told me that only a few days ago the car I was buying had not long arrived in their stock so there was no wait for shipping etc. So this leaves me a little confused and thinking I didn't get as good a deal as I thought. Did anyone else out there buy a new fabia and paid this when it was already in stock?
