Audi TT Comps on a mk1 Octavia vRS???

Featured Replies

Hi, i have just purchased a set of GENUINE 17" Audi TT Competition alloys but have'nt collected them yet.

Tyres size on the alloys are 225/45/R17 and the offset is 32 i believe.

Question is will they fit on my mk1 Octavia vRS without any issues?

Reason i ask is that the original Spider alloys that are on the car have an offset of 38 (i think-correct me if i'm wrong) and the tyre size is 205/50/R17.

Car is on standard suspension and has standard vRS brake set-up.

I have never seen these on an Octavia but seen plenty of Fabia vRS's with them on.

So any advice or problems people think i may have when fitting will be appreciated.

Anyone???

you shouldn't have any problems at all. Don't forget to get some pics up when you get them fitted as thats an unusual wheel to fit on the octavia vrs, it will be nice to see something different.

Anyone???

Patience my dear boy.

:)

I have some 18" relica RS4 alloys fitted at the moment with the offset of 33.

They don't rub & I have not had any problems even with the car lowered by 30mm, but they do look wide, close to sticking out.

Yeah will definately get some pics up when they are on, picking them up Tomorrow. Just hope they do fit with no issues.

Well in the meantime if anyone else has any thoughts please let me know.

Thanks

I had some S3 alloys with an offset of et35 and my car is about 50mm lower than standard and I didn't have any trouble

So did you collect them today?

Fitted them today and they went on with no problems at all

I think they look quite good and are a perfect temporary replacement while i get my original spiders completely refurbed.

As personally i don't think you can beat the look of the original OEM alloys on the mk1 vRS, may get them done in Anthracite Grey.

They come out a little further than the standard alloys, not by much though. They are pretty much dead in-line with the outer edge of the mudflaps when looking from the front and back of the car.

My Skoda centre caps fitted on them aswell which was a bonus.

I am very happy with the price i paid for the TT Comps, this is the deal i got:-

4x Genuine TT Comps in very good condition wearing 3x almost New Pirelli P6000 + 1x almost New Falken FK452 rubber

Also 3x Brand New spare tyres that have never been fitted to a vehicle (2x Pirelli P-Zeros + 1x Falken FK452).

All for £336!!! :D

So what do you think guys?

All opinions welcome! :)

Heres the pics as promised, just hope the links work!

aw thought they were going to be polished, looks good though damn site easier to clean then the spiders, but think they would look alot better anthracite

Do you know what, on a first quick glance I didn't like them (I still think the vRS Spiders are the dogs are on the Skoda) but after looking again and again I think they look proper smart. They're understated, but with a slight edge to them. I hate flashy wheels and these aren't flashy, they just look good. They might not have the same effect with another colour, but with the black car they look boss

Hmmm, got me thinking now…

Yeah makes a change to have some alloys that are easy to clean :)

No would never put polished alloys on my car, bit too bling for me but each to there own.

May be doing my original spiders in Anthracite but hav'nt decided yet

Look tidy.

Look tidy.

Yep tidy is exactly how i would describe them!

Like it

looks quite smart that!

very grown up:thumbup:

I like them a lot

As temporary wheels go you couldn't get much better. :D

and you could make a packet selling them on to a Fabia driver when the Spiders are finished!

very nice, I like them alot.

I think that will be the plan to sell them on once i have got round to getting the spiders refurbed.

The fact they all have nearly new tyres on means they will have plenty of tread left when it comes to selling too.

Also i've now got 3 new spare tyres ready to put straight on the spiders when done, meaninig i will only have to buy 1 new tyre!

£336 well spent i would say. :)

dependant on tyre profile they may need to be changed to fit a Fabia anyway but from the positive reactions here some OCty peopel might take them off your hands

Good point, forgot that the tyres will be wrong size for the Fabia.

Will prob sell the alloys on and keep the tyres for myself.

That means i will have 7 tyres to keep me going

Well keep the comments and opinions coming guys, good/bad there all welcome. :)

What profile tyre would you need to fit these on a Fabia?
