that was me and yes I ordered a heated windscreen as it was going to be past week 22 (the commencement of heated winscreen options on build) before mine was built (more like 2022 at this rate !!) but

That's odd as I've had almost the opposite reaction. I do have the heated screen but have found the max blower button to clear the screen very quickly, even from cold. Certainly much quicker than my old Octy was ever able to do. The heated screen works well from what I can tell so far, only having had a few frosts and not heavy ones. I had seen some comment about the heating elements causing issues with direct low sun, but I haven't found that to be an issue. What has been a problem, though, is night driving. I find the diffraction pattern from oncoming headlights to be quite distracting at times. It might be made worse because I wear glasses, but SWMBO & the kids have commented on it too and none of them wear glasses.

I'm hoping that when the really hard frosts come I'll be able to appreciate the heated screen more!

Agree with Martin. I find the blowers excellent.

Stevie, what settings are you using?

Direct low sun is more of a problem when driving into it, as you can't see where you are going

Yes you can see the elements occasionally. But it doesn't detract from driving the car. I drive many miles at night, and yes I notice them, but personally I'm focused much further down the road than on the windscreen, but I come across people in South London who obviously don't look out of the windscreen when they are driving. Keeps me on my toes.

Having driven Fords with heated screens for 12 years, they are great for clearing the ice however comments about night driving are spot on, you definitely get some 'star burst' from point light source that can be distracting. I've no idea what the Skoda version is like but I would assume any screen with hair thin heating elements will do this to a greater or lesser extent. Jana doesn't have a heated screen and at night it is a lot better. A decent window cleaning wipe cloth and a scraper I can live with those few extra minutes to clear.

The yeti brochure states "dimming exterior mirrors" but only the drivers one dims.

I have raised this point with skoda uk and they acknowledged that the brochure and web are incorrect and gave me two free services as recompense.

Not the end of the world.

Result!

Hi I'm new and just trying to get some advice about the Yeti and whether or not to get one.

Presently driving a VW Touran, need an automatic, petrol, spare tyre, was hoping for sunroof but think this won't be possible unless buying new, which I don't think I'll be doing.

Was hoping to find out how much they cost to fill up and best place to buy?

There seem to be a number of models and it's a bit confusing.

Any info. appreciated.

I've just ordered a 1.4 SE Plus Yeti and upgraded the Amundsen head unit to DAB for £200. The upgrade is only available on this head unit which is in turn only available on SE Plus trim. Worth knowing for anyone about to order

I've ordered an Elegance Greenline with DAB on a Columbus Sat Nav, so it's also available on that 'head unit' and with Elegance trim too.

For those that have ordered a spare and then removed it, what did you do to support the boot floor when the wheel is removed?

Hey... start a proper thread asking this question. A question within an unrelated thread won't get answered so readily. OR just do a search of the website.

Cheers 900000 you are completly right. I've tried to search this question, but I had no luck.

I'll create a new thread as you suggested.

Thank you...
