Has the 1.8 TSI been discontinued? Any news of a replacement?

Yes and no.

Strange isn't it. Possibly the most consistently complimented car/engine in recent times...now gone. The replacement will have to be bl**dy g**d !!

Yes it has been discontinued in the current Octavia range, it still exists in the Superb & Yeti ranges, it might be exhumed for the next generation of Octavia's aka Octavia III.

The Audi A4 and A5 have a tweaked version of the 1.8 TFSI and has 170hp and 236 lb/ft and does an alleged 49mpg. Lets hope the Octy 3 gets the same engine

I also notice the L&K has disappeared.

All sounds like winding down the range ready for the Rapid to me. Never know, might push up the used values of the 1.8 :)
