I was reluctant to go at first as modified nationals screams chav fest. But I've got to say, it wasn't bad, wasn't bad at all. Oh and I was in top 25

  • Mmmm

  • It's off for now =/. I will have another look into possible options soon though. In the mean time. A few pictures from the weekend. Finally a nice one of the interior, it's been a long time coming

i do like that shifter but im a fan of stuff out of the ordinary, it may look better if it was on something that didnt contrast it (grey on black instead of on blue)

I have to say I love the outside of the car, sit's well on those rims and certainly does have a shine to it considering it's a grey paint. But the interior is just not for me, the blue looks out of place in my eyes.

Car looks epic mate tbh! Sure makes my mind up wether lm reps look good! ..loving the bazinga plate!

Cheers. Wherever you go you're going to come across things you like, dislike, love or hate. Everyone's entitled to their own opinions.

Haha, glad someone appreciates it :giggle: . It's only there for a chuckle.

Looked awesome at early edition, love the attention to detail on this.

I hate people who quote the same pic on the same page, but that needs to been seen twice.

Epic.

VERY nice car bud. Love the paintwork!

Haha me too!

However, I actually like the original lights, so I'm sticking with them.

Any recommendations on an uprated clutch and DMF?

I'm in need of something stronger as mines almost done to buggery.

Hey Mike, nice to meet you at Combe mate. We came over and interrupted your waxing lol...give Craig @ gotboost a shout, he can probably sort you out at a good price inc fitting :)

Cheers Josh! I'm always waxing haha.

I spoke to Craig, who then told me to e-mail him the same question.....response was:

Loba Motorsport Performance clutch and Single Mass Flywheel conversion runs around £800+vat depending on current exchange rates. Fitting £275+vat

Which sounds as if it can handle crazy amounts of power and torque. Would be useful if I wanted to get more power in the future, but I don't plan on going any further performance wise.

So, has anybody used these?

http://www.darksidedevelopments.co.uk/products/sachs-dual-mass-flywheel-and-darkside-clutch-kit-for-vw-02m-6-speed-1-9-tdi.html

Sachs seem to be a popular choice, what are the results like, anyone?

That's the same kit they supplied for me, I'd suggest driving one or at least hearing one first...you're welcome to drive or hear mine if you're ever up cardiff way. The Loba kit is the full Sachs SRE kit anway.

That Darkside kit with the SRE plate is nearly the same price as the Loba/Sachs kit through Craig...but you won't have the evil chatter associated with a SMF. If you plan no more power than a stage 1 I'd steer well clear of a lightweight single mass.
