Has anybody converted to SMF running a basic map? 

i.e. will this be suitable?

I would avoid techni clutch. They are known for being poor quality. They often paint standard clutches and call them uprated.

I ran an smf for a little while before I got the hybrid turbo installed and mapped. It didn't create any problems

Okay cool, what's does it sound like with the SMF? Loud chatter etc?

I've got the south bend "silent" flywheel. Which doesn't sound too bad. I don't really have anything to compare it to though. Are you coming to the mega meet on Sunday?

I've gone for a Sach uprated DMF set up. I don't do silly millage annually so hopefully all will be okay.

I can't make the meet unfortunately, I work 1 in 4 weekends (usually). Yeah, you guessed it, this is my weekend. I attempted to switch it, but no can do as I only have 3 other colleagues. 

Unlucky mate. Sachs gets good reviews too. The DMF will be fine as your not going for big power

Car is currently having an uprated clutch put in, it's been a long time coming. 

In the mean time, I stumbled upon this on my way home from work this evening..... 
They had one job!

Just the generic slightly stronger than standard Sachs from Darkside Developments. I'm not planning on crossing the 200bhp mark so this should do the trick.

Mine's far from immaculate Kartman, you'd be surprised. Pictures make most things look perfect. Few little bits here and there that need sorting. Not in time for the weekend though =/

 mines a techniclutch ive got on at the minute

 

200bhp and copious amounts of torque, id say its managing pretty well

 

but we'll see when it come back from Darkside again with 230bhp

 

 

that said, mine is a uprated 5spd vr6 clutch as im a vrs wannabe aha

Good effort. My  new clutch seems to be doing the trick, wore it in on the 600 mile round trip to Edition 38. So far so good!

Good to finally put a face to the car - which is also pretty damn spotless! Adam and Chris also approved of the estate  !

Does anybody have an unused Cupra splitter laying around that they don't need and want to sell? (preferably new or near enough new condition). Seat down my end of the world are being hopeless!
