Hi guys just wondered if there are any meets coming up in east yorkshire in the near future? Also i believe theres going to be a car show at driffield show ground some time in august.

Apart from the specialist car meets in malton don't think there is any proper meets

Think we need to look into this and maybe arrange something then.

Sounds good to me - I would be up for a meet in east yorkshire!

There was a bit of discussion on an East Yorkshire meet a few months back - http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/253675-meets-around-hulleast-yorkshire/ - so there is interest. Probably easier for someone local to organise it though. I'd prefer a Saturday just so I get to see some different countryside whilst driving but a midweek evening would be okay if that's what others prefer.

Hessle foreshore could be a good place to meet up, handy for people from out of town and easy access to it aswell.

Yes as mentioned above,there was some interest,just needs someone to put a date and place up and see what people think and who can attend.

plus if anyone wants a mini meet,a friend of mine organises a local vag meet at the ketch in willerby on the first wednesday of the month which I'm at most months and in the warmer weather gets a pretty good turn out

Forgot to add that the monthly vag meet at the ketch starts from around 7:30 pm if anyone was ever thinking of popping down

Right then, how about setting a date of say, 2nd Wed of every month (so 13th March for the next one) for a Skoda meet at either:

Home Farm near the Humber Bridge

The Sailmaker at St Andrews Quay

The Sandpiper at Melton

We could always change the pub if it turns out to be rubbish...

Wednesday evenings are free for me and I like the idea of a regular meet. It'll be light enough for the drive there by April too. Hopefully see some of you on the 13th then.

I should hopefully be able to make 13th, when a venue is agreed.

Wetherby. Well, that's me, rather than everyone else The usual West Yorkshire meet at Rishworth is 50 odd miles West for me, so Hull is pretty much the same distance East. Both are good excuses to give the DPF a workout!

Ah not too far then, hopefully should have the octy sorted so its running properley. Should have maybe kept the old one. Never mind i will sort the problems out and hopefully repaint it before the meet lol

I was thinking about the Rishworth meets (joint with civinfo forum folk) where we end up with a dozen or more for food. At this point I'm assuming we're planning on eating there!

Went down to the Sandpiper earlier, they seem a friendly bunch.

Said there would be no problem meeting there, just if there was going to be loads of us to let them know in advance

They do a curry night on a Wednesday too, although I forgot to ask how much it was....

What sort of time does everyone fancy meeting? Maybe about 7ish to give everyone chance to get home from work etc?

Yeah 7 should give me chance to get in from work and get there in time. It takes about 45 mins from here :-D
