When is first service due?

Featured Replies

Bought my Roomster as an ex dealer demonstrator in January 13 with 2300miles on the clock. It was first registered in mid-September 12 so I assumed first annual service would be due September 13 or at 10k. The service book however shows the PDI was carried on 22/5/12 and next inspection is due 22/5/13 as a result. Checked this with salesman who assured me first service is due 12 months from date of registration and that they have to de-wax and PDI all stock within 5 days of delivery in case of transit damage. Is the salesman right or just telling me what I want to hear? Don't want to have an argument in the event of a major failure.

Anybody?

As far as I am aware service intervals date from the date of first registration of the vehicle disregarding how long it has been in stock at the dealership,

or when pre-delivery carried out so you should be completely correct at September.
