Favourite F1 liveries past and present

Featured Replies

Thought I'd start a bit of a thread about your favourite F1 liveries over the years. Will be good to see some forgotten designs and also see how the cars have evolved over the years.

I'll start the ball rolling with a few that stand out in my mind, I'll run newest to oldest . .

Recent years there have been few cars that have stood out in my mind, but the recent Sauber looks very sleek and smart

Also a fan of the Force India cars over the years

Previous to this, the 2009 Brawn car looked great, stood out massively due to the sheer lack of sponsors on the car. Not sure on the "hub caps" that were added though

2006 Renault

Always had a soft spot for the Walrus nosed Williams BMW

Early 2000's Arrows with heavy orange sponsorship

The 1999 Jordan, mainly for being Hill's last car and Jordans most successful. One of my favourites over the years

The 1999 BAR cars were some of the more radical designed cars of recent years. Originally wanting two different cars like this

But they wernt allowed, so they split the car half and half

The 1998 Williams I remember for being the same time they went ****. I was use to the Williams being blue since I started watching F1 (in 1998 I was 9) so it was the first big change I remember.

Lastly for now is the classic Williams, Damon Hill's 1996 Rothmans sponsored car

There are lots more over the years I like but for now, over to you guys.

My favorite has to be the Jaguars :)

I don't think I need to comment as to which is my favourite :)

I think I prefer to the look of the older cars when they painted the car with the colour of the nation they came from, I love the old French gordini motorsport stuff that was baby blue with the 2 White stripes over the left hand side.

MP4/4 although everyone says this

Most successful F1 car ever IMO - won 15 of 16 GPs in 1988.

And it looks so simple compared to today's cars but was brilliant.

This is my favourite of all time and really rejuvenated my interest in F1. Great and spectacular racing from 'our Nige' in Red 5!
