Rapid Elegance - no DSG option?

Featured Replies

Good Afternoon All,

Apologies if this has been mentioned before but I haven't been on the forum for quite some time. I am just looking at upgrading my other half's car (Fabia 1.2 TSI DSG Elegance) to either a Rapid or Octavia. Is it correct on the Skoda website that it is not possible to spec a Rapid Elegance with DSG? If so, isn't this a little bit odd - surely the combination would be popular? Can anyone shed any light on this?

Yes, you can get a Rapid Elegance with DSG. It's a 1.4 tsi.

It's been recently added so is not in the brochure in the dealers.

Give your dealer a call, they should be able to help.

I very nearly ordered one last week (from Preston Motors in East London) and even got a price on it, so I know it's available.

Richard - marvellous news - thank you. Our local dealer was not aware of this (as of this Saturday) and we were a little disappointed at this specification omission. She who must be obeyed will be delighted, as the Octavia was too big for her.

Make sure you haggle.

You can get a decent discount on a Rapid, followed by £1000 off from Skoda UK if you finance on top.

It actually works out cheaper than just buying and you get three years servicing thrown in too! :)

My finance charges over two years are £600, but I saved £1000 and got the service deal too, on top of a reduction on the list price.

Yes, we'll finance it through Solutions, most likely over 2-3 years, and will haggle hard.

I note from your original post that you 'very nearly' bought one - may I ask why you didn't in the end? Did you test drive this particular model?
