Featured Replies

Just watched this car buyer review and if you watch near the end BMW have copied one of the superbs key features

Thy did?

I actually heard abt the BMW GT twin boot before, i knew about the Superb!

Cheers for that. Had to leave a parting comment on YT.

I think they pay Skoda to use the idea...I think Mercedes pay to use the carrier bag hooks on their cars as well

Yes, it's a Skoda patent, and BMW have to pay Skoda :)

I looked at one before buying my Superb Estate. Gorgeous interior & loads of space but the boot area can't touch a Superb hatch never mind the estate. Prices are good for buyers if you're happy with 60000k or so too - not so good for seller though.

BMW have had the same dual opening capability on tourings long before it appeared on Superb

Quite a lot of estate cars have had the glass or full door opening for a long time. I had a late 60's Chevrolet Station wagon (estate) that had a 3 way opening rear door. The rear (tailgate) window could be opened from drivers seat or by the key in the rear tailgate, the tailgate could be opened either as a drop down or a side opening door. theres not a lot of new ideas out there!

I forgot about the classic Range Rover too ;)

but they have split opening tail gates, the superb has the option to open as a saloon or a full hatchback
