Unlock rear doors when engine switched off.

Featured Replies

Hi

I have set the doors to lock once you get over a certain speed. this is fine except that when I turn the engine off, the rear doors don't unlock and to get the kids out we have to either press the unlock button on the door or the key fob. Not major but irritating.

I have changed the unlocking mode to all but that didn't help. Any ideas?

Is that when you are trying to exit the rear or from the outside to open the rear doors or both? If it is the former have you checked the child proof locks on the door?

Of course it could be none of the above.

You have set the doors to "Auto close", try setting them to "Auto Open"

Another thought, do the rear doors have child locks on?

Thanks David, I love the auto lock but find unlocking the back doors really irritating. Just been out and altered mine in the settings - will being trying it later

Thanks. It is opening them from outside to let the boys out. I have child locks on but that shouldn't affect opening from outside.

I didn't know there was auto open. I will take a look when I get home at the weekend.

It works! When you stop, opening a front door unlocks all doors :-)

This helped me too. It also unlocks the doors when you remove the key from the ignition not just when you open the first door.

Thanks David, This was a great help.

Auto open / Close can be found in Page 20 ansd Page 34 of the manual or by going to the Maxidot display - settings - Convenience - Door locks - Auto open/ close.

It worked perfectly for me and now everything unlocks as I leave the car or unlock with one touch of the remote.
