My dad has a 1.4TSI SE+ DSG which he got last year brand new and his only frustration occurs when it rains!

When it rains, the water is obviously swept to the right of the windscreen by the wipers and then moves around to the drivers side window obscuring his door mirror.

The exact same happens on my VRS...........it doesn't unduly worry me but it's driving my dad mad!

Any one got the same problem.......same frustrations........and maybe even a solution?

Yup, just had some fitted and they're good for the raindrops. Look good on a black car as well.

Happens on most modern cars. The mk4 Mondeo was worse than the Octavia IME

Put Heko wind deflectors on my front windows.Solved that problem and look great too

G1 on my windows of all the cars I have owned so no problem . Cheaper alternative is rain x

Does it rain in wind tunnels?

Try having the wipers sweep the other way (like French cars). Then a tall driver can't see through the swept area as its too low...
