I've recently become the proud owner of a Octavia vRS, love the car and can't stop smiling when I'm driving it! I've found this forum very insightful and full of interesting tips for the care and maintainance of my car.

Now, I want to play my iPhone music through the aux in, no problem with that as I've found the input in the centre console, however, next to the input is a vertical sliding opening, that travels about half inch....I'm at a loss as to what it is, where it goes etc. Any help would be great. It allows the air into the box when the air con system is active. You can use it when cooling to chill a can of pop.

There's another air con vent in the glove box too, circular - twist to open / close, keeps the glove box chilled
