Sounds interesting. Are there any significant differences in the tuning compared to the MK7 GTI. In theory it is the same engine but I would be curious as to your thoughts.

Looks very promising,..few questions from me;

  • Surely this is a stage 2 type tune and requires additional mods?
  • You say ECU flash, does that mean you guys have managed to crack the code for the ECU then?
  • Will this be available for both manual and DSG?
  • Can you remind me of the actual numbers achieved please including torque and BHP?
  • Cost - How much?
  • Do you need any development cars in the UK to try this on

Are you saying you can now remap without removing the chip? If so have you done any work on the 2.0 TDI 150ps / 184ps ??

Cost involved?

Haven't had any of the calibrators pull me aside to remark on any specific differences, so I'm lead to believe the setups are very comparable.

Great questions!

-This is stage 1 on development (stock exhaust/catalyst). Stage 2 will come along with exhaust modifications.

-Yes, we've cracked the code, extracted the full binary, and that's what we're modifying.

-Barring unforeseen/improbable complications, yes this will be available for DSG as well as manual.

-Haven't yet quoted official numbers, but we're over the 300bhp mark; still in development.

-No pricing set yet; still in development.

-I don't think so, but feel free to send your contact details to me at [email protected]

Yes. These particular ECUs can be flashed in the car through the diagnostic port.

The CR TDIs (presuming that's what you've mentioned above) use a different ECU Technology. Please email me specific box codes for the above examples and I'll confirm.

Sounds interesting, how long can we expect to wait for product in UK? Plug and play remap?

As this is all new I don't have a concrete number to give, but things are progressing well so hopefully by summer at the latest.

To your plug and play question, the APR dealer network will be able to plug our programming cable into your vehicle's diagnostic port and write the software onto the ECU. No removal necessary.

I'll definitely update the threads with power figures and pricing when the software is available. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any other questions.

Well done, getting this to work. Interested for sure. I would really like to see a dyno chart, when you have one available. 300 horses on a stock exhaust sounds pretty impressive to me.

Any update regarding progress? Who to contact in Norway regarding getting my car "fixed"?

A little progress as seen here: http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/313149-sponsor-tuning-the-new-20t-octy/

Not sure what you're insinuating by "fixing" the car, but we have apr agents in your area that will offer it when it's ready: www.goapr.eu/dealer
