  1. Hi, I’m interested in the Kamiq SE L trim and comparing the 2023 spec to the 2024 spec the 2024 model seems to have lost a few features, front sensors, rear camera and heated seats…. is this correct? I know the 2024 model has gained some features but I would miss the 3 that it’s lost so may go for the 2023 model.
  2. Given the car good run this time and that seems to have done the trick, back to normal now so I’m guessing it was the GPF. Haven’t had this before but I’m not doing many miles now since lockdown started last March. Thanks
  3. Thanks for the reply, sorry I’m not very technical....it’s the gauge on the left of the virtual cockpit that’s going up to 90 quickly. Oil temp was 95 when I checked half way through my 10 mile drive, what is a normal time to get the oil up to 95?
  4. Only started to happen on the last two start-ups, car is 2019 with 9000 miles on the clock. The engine temperature gets up to 90 on the gauge really quickly, like within 1-2 mins of driving where normally at these outdoor temperatures it would take up to 10 mins. The drive feels a little choppy and the DSG gear changes not as smooth as normal. When parking up after a 10 mile drive the fan is still running so I think the engine is overheating but the gauge never goes above 90. I'll get it booked in but wondered if anyone else has had this issue. Thanks
  5. I noticed 2.0 TSI dsg has gone from the MY20 Hatch configurator, still there in Estate as 4x4 which gives same performance as 245 vRS which makes it a nice alternative. Love my 2.0 TSI dsg hatch but like most in this thread start-stop comes on way too early. Comes on when slowing for speed humps 😖
  6. Mine is at the dealer today and they say the leak is coming from a hole on the inside of the dodgy bit of weld (or seal) on the hatch edge, needs re-sealing.
  7. Excellent, thanks! Got mine booked in on Monday so will use this info, I’m pretty sure my issue is the spoiler too.
  8. Thanks, even more confusing of how water can be getting in behind the fabric layer. Trip to the dealer tomorrow. My worry is they just find a way to release the water rather than working out how it’s getting in.
  9. I have experienced the very same issue, picked up a new SE L 2 weeks ago and for the first week it didn’t rain so no issue but since we’ve had a few nights of rain and the waterfalls have started. The waterfall can be either side it depends on the lie of the car. My suspicion is water is getting under the lip spoiler on the SE L and I’m assuming the spoiler is screwed on and getting through a hole. Did you resolve your issue?
  10. Just collected my third Octavia MkIII hatch No.1 - 2013 1.2 TSI SE No. 2 - 2016 1.6 TDI SE L No. 3 - 2019 2.0 TSI 190 DSG SE L (FL) No. 3 is by far the best, the ride and suspension is so much better, the tech is better and the engine...wow, plenty acceleration when needed. I've got the virtual cockpit which is pretty cool and makes the car feel up to date. I have one question regards the WLAN if someone has the answer; I've connected the WLAN to my iPhone which works fine but it doesn't auto connect when I next get in the car I have to switch off the personal hotspot on the phone and switch it back on to get the car to connect, is there another way?
  11. Leave the car running and use your spare key to lock the car.
  12. I've had cats sitting in the engine bay of my Octy III and Golf Mk7, you can tell as they leave hairs stuck on the battery cover. I'm concerned they'll put a claw through a pipe on there way I'm and out. Don't see how I can stop them as there are plenty space from them to crawl in.
  13. If you go PCP you could trade in your current car and use the value towards your deposit, if you go PCH you'd need to sell your car private. PCH is less flexible than PCP but there are deals to be had, new PCH deals get launched every quarter, next deals will be in October. Keep watching the lease websites!
  14. I have this on my Golf R and as you mention there are lots of references on the R forum http://www.vwroc.com/forums/topic/8392-metal-bell-ringing-noise-from-front/?hl=ringing The consensus seems to be it's "normal" and relates to the wastegate flap Worth mentioning when you take you car in but nothing to worry about just a bit annoying.
  15. I got mine in March on 0% PCP with £1k contribution plus£500 drive away in March, I've just ran my numbers through the calculator on the new offer of £2k contribution and 2.9% and the GFV is £1k less than it was on my deal on the same terms. So the extra £1k contribution they are pushing back to the buyer with interest.
