  1. Success! Managed to get to the number 2 ground point in the boot. Thanks for the info ApertureS!
  2. Thank you very much for the reply. Do you happen to have any info on how to remove the trim to access the number 2 ground point? All the trim seems pretty well fitted so there's probably a particular order I need to follow to get there. Thanks in advance!
  3. Sorry to raise this thread again, but does anyone know where there is a ground point in the boot please? I'm going to install a sub and amp and had a look bit nothing obvious. The trim also seems quite a pain to remove to look, so if anyone can guide me to the right place I'd be very grateful! Mines a 2021 estate btw. Thanks 😊
  4. Thanks for the replies everyone. I've bought a replacement solenoid and will be fitting it tomorrow. Thanks for everyone's help.
  5. Hi all Went to fill my car with fuel this morning and the fuel filler flap wouldn't open. Luckily a few locks and unlocks managed to get it open. Tried again when i got home and it seems stuck again. I can see from searching the forum that others have had this issue. Has anyone changed the solenoid themselves? And could anyone share the part number needed and instructions on how to change it? Many thanks
  6. Hi Could I also be PM'ed the file please? 2013 MK3 5E0035842A HW:040 SW:0407 Thanks
  7. Car is now back with the new turbo fitted and thankfully no more warnings or limp mode so far.
  8. I'll not push for any more. I'm just relieved I've not had to pay the full amount as it's out of warranty. I'm not sure if they are just guessing it's the turbo. I suppose I'll wait and see what tomorrow brings when they fit the new one.
  9. Dealer has come back and said it needs a new turbo. Luckily they will pay for the turbo and I'll pay for the fitting only at 400 quid. I'll ask to see if they have any fault code info.
  10. It would be great if it's as simple as that to solve! Car has now gone into the dealers so I hope they can find the fault.
  11. Hi all My 13 reg has developed a fault where car goes into limp mode and EPC warning light is shown on dash. Dealers had it last week and think it's a turbo fault but turbo appears fine apparently. They emailed skoda technical for next thing to check and gave the car back. Car again today in limp mode so dealers are picking up tomorrow to diagnose further. Car is 2 months out if warranty with only 21k on the clock. I'm hoping skoda will offer a gesture of goodwill towards the cost of repair! Anyone else had this experience so I can tell the dealer to check an area etc? Thanks
  12. My exhaust inspection warning came on this week too along with an intermittent cruise control warning lamp also. Car is driving fine and is not in limp mode. Car booked into dealers again tomorrow so hopefully I can pass on what they say could be the fault/remedy. (The car was in last week for an automatic headlight fault warning that turned out to be a windscreen sensor and replaced under warranty but would of cost £190 had it not been)
  13. Also does anybody that has an intake want to sell their standard mk3 airbox?
  14. Thanks for the replies. I have a K&n panel filter in at the minute but I miss the sound that an intake makes rather than for any power. So really the intake is only really for noise so don't want to spend a fortune. I will be remapping in the future for my power gains I can't seem to find a K&n intake for the mk3's. I saw someone had a CTS turbo intake but can't seem to find a UK stockist. I'll check out the links above though. Thanks
  15. Hi Are there any intakes available for the 2.0 tsi? Are the ones available for the mk7 golf gti the same fitment? Thanks
