  1. Brighton! You are practically round the corner! I've just listed it on eBay if you wanted to check it out. I'm around most of this week if you wanted to take a look at it.
  2. I'm just about to sell my beloved VRS after 15 years as my commute has gone from 30 miles on a dual carriageway to, well a lot more and I've gone electric. I was thinking of eBay? Or maybe I'll just keep it in the garage until I retire! I'm in West Sussex though! It's done 166,343 miles.

  4. Hi, Did you fix this problem? My drivers door won't work with the central locking, but does with the key.
  5. Ok .. Did it. After two hours faffing I just wacked the mounting with a lump hammer pretty hard and the ball joint dropped out!
  6. Really having a problem removing the lower ball joint! Any help appreciated thanks!
  7. Any one got any tips on removing the lower ball joint? I've removed the wishbone and console mount but can't get the ball joint out. I've removed the nut but the ball joint is stuck fast! Do you just wack the threaded bolt down some how? Ta.
  8. I'm about to attempt this using the Avalon method ie. new wishbones, ball joints and powerflex bushes. Has anyone needed a ratchett strap needed for this method? Where is the best place to get replacement bolts from - online or vw? Also, on youtube there are some great videos by a chap called Murray Hay - just search for Skoda Fabia bush! Thanks in advance.
  9. Thanks for all your help guys. I checked all the LEDs with a multimeter and it appeared the full beam (blue) tell tale wasn't working now either. So, I put it back in the car but it worked fine. Weird. I've sent the dash off to clusterrepairsuk to get it tested. I'll let you know how it goes. If it doesn't work I like your idea MoggyTech! Thanks again.
  10. Got the instrument cluster out and yes, the LED has failed. Anyone know somone who can replace these in the PCBs in West Sussex? Thanks for everyones help so far.
  11. Just to be sure, are there two tell tale lights (one for front fog head-lamps and one for rear red ones)? My manual shows two but there is an asterix on the diagram as if one may be optional. Thanks again.
  12. Also, can anyone tell me the colour of the tell tale light for the rear fogs? Despite failing the MOT today I'm not sure it's ever worked in the 4 years I've owned the car! The front fog light tell tale on mine is a light green.
  13. Thanks for your replies. If it's the LED's any idea where I would get replacements?
  14. Hi, My 2004 VRS just failed its MOT as the dash tell-tale light for the rear fog lights is not working. I'm just after a few clues as to what it could be (other than a new dash required!). All the external lights work fine and the tell-tale for the front light works. The glow plug light hasn't worked for a while. It did work after a skoda dealer service reset it (no faults found) but its stopped again now. Also the drivers door central locking sometimes doesn't work. Any ideas anyone? Thanks.
  15. Hello, I've got a 2004 VRS with a problem. The Glow plug light on the dash stopped working a few months ago. It's just been for a service and no faults were found during the diagnostics. There are no problems starting even when it's been freezing outside. Anyone got any ideas on what the problem might be? Thanks in advance.
