High beam indicated on dash using LED DRLs
JohnSTV6 replied to kenreid7's topic in Skoda Rapid & Spaceback (2012 > )
Which LED bulbs have you fitted? I had some in for a few months and never had any issues with warning lights, or incorrect lights coming up on the dash. I would double check that you have got all of the 3 pins completely locked in place, I know it's incerdibly fiddly and will take you sacrificing some skin from your fingers lol I have swapped them out though for a normal type of bulb, with a blue/white xenon look. This was only because through the winter I found the high beam function of the Cree/led bulbs to not be bright enough for the unlit back roads. -
It's been moved to the massive thread about it in the general section

Not a year into ownership, but I have done over 12,000 miles in it in the 3 months or so since I got it. I find it is so far everything I hoped it would be, a very suitable replacement for my ageing Octavia 2. You can see little things that have been done to a price (one touch windows etc), but I am in it for 12 hrs a day most days and don't find it uncomfortable at all. In fact with the centre arm rest it's actually more comfortable to drive than the octavia was. No complaints about the seats, or the ride quality. Fuel economy seems to be constantly at 50mpg or higher. To be a bit critical I think the 90bhp 1.6 diesel is a bit underpowered when I have 4 passengers in, but I can't go down the re-map route until I see what skoda are going to do with the emission software issue in the recall.

That doesn't surprise me, they couldn't even type my numberplate properly at the top of the letter lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yeah, just came in from work to a lovely letter from Skoda, mine is a 2014 1.6tdi Just have to wait and see what they come up with as a viable fix/solution As long as it doesn't affect performance/economy or reliability I won't really be bothered Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Love it, really love the seats! I would love a glass roof, but it's no good to me as I need to put the roof sign on and magnets don't like to stick to glass lol

I get most of them from my mate that has his own led business http://www.crazyleds.co.uk If he doesn't have what I want/need then I just look around on eBay to find it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Just been discussing the VW emission scandal with one of my mates, we both have 14 plate 1.6tdi spacebacks. His car reg is only one letter different from the original one on mine. But using the check on skoda website it says my car isn't affected by the recall but his car is. I know they were registered 10 days apart, but that won't reflect the build date of them. So basically just to satisfy curiosity etc is there a way to find out the build date? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Lol yeah, speed sensitive wipers worked first time. So did all the other things like large MPH speedo, tear drop wipe, dial staging etc. I've tried about 20 times now to get it to accept the setting of not locking the doors when moving. It keeps saving it in the app, but just won't take affect. Looks like I will have to admit defeat on this one.

One on each side of the car, is that not normal? My mate who also has a 14 plate Spaceback also has 2. Didn't think anything of it until you have mentioned it, as it was just the same as my Octavia 2 that I replaced with the spaceback -
As a private car it is a useful feature, but using it as a taxi it's just a nuisance. Every time I pull up outside someone's house or on the rank, I have to remember to press the unlock button or I have people swinging on my door handles. Suppose I will have to just wait until I have a reason to go to dealers and then get them to do it with their computer, just can't understand why all the other things I've done with carista work perfectly but this one won't take affect

Just fitted last night LED boot lights and reverse lights, should really start a thread in the project section. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I'm not a fan of being tied into school runs, prefer the freedom and flexibility of just hacking and doing my regulars off my phone.
