  1. Yes, you just pay for the service as and when. It also means you can haggle a little on the service cost. They will also let you increase the mileage if you wish, but it increases the cost by about the same as the excess mileage charge.
  2. I've just been through this with VWFS and ended up cancelling mine. You will have to pay the excess mileage charge on the FCM agreement before they will service your car EVEN if the increased mileage doesn't result in you getting more services...it's a right con You can cancel at any time, with 28 days notice. No penalty is payable, but they won't refund payments already made.
  3. Hi, I'm trying to decide on whether to take the Skoda service plan with my citigo...I'm not 100% sure it offers value for money though....so what did you pay for 1st, 2nd, 3rd (if anyone's had one!) services and brake fluid change etc? Thanks in advance
  4. I took mine (not a citigo) to a window tinting place, they did a perfect job in 5 minutes and charged £0...I gave them a beer token though. Otherwise, lots of misted water on the paintwork before application, so it moves well (I believe) is the key if doing yourself. And make sure the area is clean, ideally IPA it to remove polish, grease etc too.

  6. I found it on the Skoda UK site, but I've lost it now. Many dealers are advertising it- http://www.claybankmotorco.co.uk/finance_offers although it looks like its actually 8.9% Claybank are advertising the 0% PCP on SE and Elegance models, maybe elegance with stripes kit? It'd save a fair bit of cash! If you were on PCP, with a low deposit, the difference between 0% and 8.9% is about £55 a month, quite a lot.
  7. Bear in mind the APR on ex-demo is 7.9 instead of 4.9 for new...that (the ex demo rate) includes 3 years servicing anyway, so they're not really giving you anything there?
  8. Also, look at the mii maybe, that's still 0%...if you can stand the ugly front end!
  9. Skoda 0% PCP finished about a week ago now, 4.9% is the new rate. Because of that, I'd be aiming for a cool £1k off really.
  10. Ordered 12th march, got allocated week 18, last in April, if that sticks. Delivery by the end of May.
  11. That GMFV looks very much like its a 42 month deal, as it's the exact same figure as I have for the same car. Infact, if you do the maths, it adds up almost perfectly to you paying list price and the £26 per month for maintenance over 42 months. If you've been offered that over 36 months, bite their hand off, as there's the amount of discount is greater than the profit margin on that car!
  12. Fair enough, it's £26 on the Skoda website.
  13. The servicing maintenance and tyres is £26 per month. That is rediculous for a car that size, nearly £1000 over 3 years. A full set of decent tyres is £200, 2 x interim service £100 and major service £200. What's going go wrong maintenance wise on the car? Nothing, it's under warranty! If you use brakes in 3 years I'd be surprised, but they won't cost that much anyway! Even just the servicing package is not worth it, it's more expensive than paying separately for the services. Taking it over 42 months and lowering the mileage will also help payments. Drop the service package and you're at under £120 a month anyway.
