I use blue 3M 3434 low tack masking tape to ensure I don't damage any paint. If it's your first time using a machine try and find someone local to show you how, or have a read here http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/index.php

Congratulations, the same spec as we are looking at apart from 2 extra doors!

Sorry to hear about the scratches, auto car washes will cause scratches on most modern car paints. :'( We are looking at a citigo for SWMBO as although the car she has at the moment has a bigger fuel tank than the citigo, it also needs refilling a lot more often than a citigo would!

I doubt SRP will get rid of that either, but pretty sure a DA or rotary machine would polish that out.

Hope you enjoy it, I certainly enjoy driving mine, well when I can get the keys off SWMBO!

Differing answers! Pity Skoda UK couldn't give an answer! Hope it is lifetime, would make sense if Continental make the belt for the UP! they must be the same belt across the brands. http://www.contitech.de/pages/news/aktuelles/120117_vw-up_en.html

Well I received a phone call from Skoda UK today where I was informed that they didn't know! LOL!!! I was told to ask my local dealer as they might know, so I asked them and got told 4yrs/60,000miles. They knew that european cars had different intervals but that didn't matter to UK cars.

Hope you get it fixed

Sorry to hear of all your problems, this is my third Fabia and been very impressed with all 3 -
At the mpg some people are getting here if we change my wife's current car for a new one, taking into account, insurance, road tax, breakdown cover, servicing and MOT's the citigo would pay for itself!

Thanks everyone. I thought it might be listed in the service book but I've just checked my Fabia one and can't see the info listed in there for a Fabia, but I know that is 4yrs. I will ask Skoda UK for a definitive answer to maintain the warranty, as we would buy with the 5yr warranty.

I have the Amundsen Sat Nav in mine and you don't need a CD in there to use it. I don't have a CD in the pack of books from the dealer so I'm guessing it gets plugged in at the dealers for updates. Hope you enjoy your new car, I certainly enjoy mine -
Hi everyone. SWMBO is thinking about getting a citigo elegance 60ps and keeping it for a long time. Can anyone tell us if the citigo has a cambelt, and when it would need changing or if it's a camchain and therefore wouldn't need replacing? Thanks
