  1. Have you got VagCom? That'll tell you if there's any electrical faults on the system. I'm pretty sure you can do actuator tests as well to make the motors move. Can you hear anything move when you change the temperature setting? Sent from Tapatalk 2
  2. The first code you've got will put it into limp mode. Have a look at the live data and give it the large one up the road. See what boost pressure you're getting. Chances are it'll be boosting too high to trigger that code. If it is too high, check all the turbo actuator pipes and solenoid control valve. I'm not sure, but I think the turbo with be a variable vein type for pressure regulation, it could be seizing up. Sent from Tapatalk 2
  3. If its coming from the bell housing its either gearbox oil from the spigot shaft seal or engine oil from the rear crank seal. You'll smell it if its gear oil. It sounds like you're losing a lot, don't drive it until its fixed Sent from Tapatalk 2
  4. Basically I read my MAP which is standard. I've also read a tuned MAP from a friends car. He bought the car last week and the previous owner said it was mapped by a friend of a friend for £60. Doesn't sound too good, but goes bloody well. The only mods he's got which I haven't is a de-cat and an atmospheric dump valve. I know the de-cat will help with spool up times, but the dump valve should make it run worse in theory. Either way, I can't keep up with him. I've been comparing the two files and haven't found much difference, but tonight I realised I was using the wrong definition file. I still can't find the correct one to use for TunerPro. I would just use his map, but trying to add AL, NSL, and rear o2 sensor delete first. I've probably spent the best part of 7 hours reading the Nefmoto forums, but as the definition file was wrong, I've haven't got anywhere really Don't suppose you've got the definition file?

  6. Has anyone here had a play with DIY remapping? I'm after some information and/or files to have a play with Sent from Tapatalk 2
  7. The best I've used is Gunk. Sent from Tapatalk 2
  8. What model number is that ^^^^^^ What do you think of it? Sent from Tapatalk 2
  9. I may be up for this with a friend or two. Won't know for certain until Friday though. Is this just a power run or will they be logging data as well? I've got a new remap file I want to test, make sure its safe. Sent from Tapatalk 2
  10. Do you have the front ash tray flap? How much posted? Thanks Sent from Tapatalk 2
  11. I can't give any recommendations, I'm looking into this myself. (Been looking at the android based ones). They should fit fine. The only trouble you'll have is getting the space behind it for the wires. I had this trouble when fitting my single din, had to remove the glovebox and pull the wiring through the back Sent from Tapatalk 2
  12. Assuming the alarm siren is controlled by the central convenience unit, could any siren be fitted? Is the wiring there ready? Sent from Tapatalk 2
  13. Could be inside the shock absorber itself. Have you got a shock tester at work? May show it up? We had a Peugeot 106 in with a knock, but it only knocked when the steering was in a certain position. We couldn't see anything wrong but took a gamble with the strut and it sorted it Sent from Tapatalk 2
  14. If fault is coming back I would suspect the sensor is faulty. They're not uncommon. Do you have access to VCDS? VCDS calls live data, measuring blocks. Sent from Tapatalk 2
  15. I live in a field now, don't really want my exact position on there
  16. For the sake of £50 I do an oil & filter change at least once a year
  17. I'm a qualified mechanic, work on anything and everything (Renault specialist ), does that count lol
  18. So you have the front ash tray flap bit? If so, how much posted?
  19. If I buy the membership thing, do I get a free sticker :wonder:
  20. I've done this to previous cars. I've not checked the vRS, I'll have a look tomorrow.
  21. Sounds like a faulty door module? Might be worth sticking on VCDS and see if you have any faults stored. The A/C problem sounds like a lack of gas in the system (possible leak), would need to go on VCDS to check for faults/data, or on an A/C machine to check gas amount.
  22. Can you erase the code or is it a permanent fault? Have a look in measuring blocks and see what temperature the coolant is getting up to
  23. Will this bolt up to the original system or is it larger diameter? What make is it?
  24. Been reading the forums for the last few months while thinking about getting a MK1 Octavia VRS. Well, I've now got one... In yellow Will post some pics up when I find the time & good weather to actually wash and polish it.
