Tyre Pressure Monitor
I had several "false alarms" with my Yeti but it always pays to check. I set tyre pressures cold and reset the system before any long distance towing, I think that the slight increase in tyre heat may have triggered the alarm which was not wheel specific on the Yeti. One occasion It threw up an alarm so I stopped off the road and inspected the tyres I could see nothing wrong but I ran my hands around the inside of all the tyres and encountered a screw head, no leak as such, I drove on at lower speed and got home with no more alarms. The tyre fitter could not remove the screw so It was a new tyre.

Front mudflaps for Black Edition / MonteCarlo ?
I'm sorry you do not have the answers you had hoped for, it was a limited edition of around 750 and I had never heard of the type. Perhaps if you took some photos ? the normal mudflaps pick up the wheel arch liner screws, do your body kit sills obscure these? https://www.yetiownersclub.co.uk/threads/2014-black-edition-mudflaps.2489/

Front mudflaps for Black Edition / MonteCarlo ?
What is a "Black Edition" what makes it so different?

Front mudflaps for Black Edition / MonteCarlo ?
I bought my mudflaps from UK VW dealers and from an Eu source, all were easy to fit and genuine Skoda parts. I always found them worth fitting to reduce spray (whatever other people say) for myself and other drivers.

Skoda Fabia Mk3 Monte Carlo ... TOWBAR problem
The Monte remains. Skoda £900+ for fitting a towbar. Spoke to a South West towbar fitter who was recommended by a Bath skoda dealer, "where are you Bristol? that is outside my territory" I am next door to Bath. I have two more to try. My trailer is kaput the dealer returned my deposit. All over a bl**dy towbar!

Skoda Fabia Mk3 Monte Carlo ... TOWBAR problem
Thank you all, so far all the towbar fitting companies just point out the towbar catalogue exclusion of the Monte Carlo. I have had as excuses; Electrical problems, Shelf type rear skirt Too high a leverage with even a low noseweight. None of which really makes sense as they are happily fitted to standard (non sporty) estates. Noseweight on the trailer I want to tow is 25-30kg

Skoda Fabia Mk3 Monte Carlo ... TOWBAR problem
I am having trouble getting a towbar fitted, my local fitter (who is very good) cannot find a towbar that is Monte Carlo specific. I believe that any Skoda 2019 Estate towbar will do as the Monte Carlo is just a trim level but I need a definitive answer very soon as I have a trailer camper to pick up! Named brands would help.

Rear Seats...Estate
The seat bases come out easily, the backs look as if they might but I never bothered to try. There are pivot brackets that look accessible.

Yeti owners, what is your towball height?
My Yeti height was around 430+ almost the same as my Ford Focus I have it all written down somewhere, the EEC directive was 350-420. I think the size and make of tire will make a difference.

Squeaky rattle from top of dashboard.
I am pretty sure all my cars start to squeak when it gets as hot as this, worst one was an Avenger the nylon steering bushes used to shriek until I either sprayed them or the weather changed.

Anybody tow a caravan (1.6tdi green line), advice?
I had two Yeti and towed, Eriba Troll and two Bailey caravans a Ranger and an Orion. The 2L diesels were very good and allowed safe overtaking on motorways . The smallest engine I towed with (except for a 2CV and trailer) was a 1.5 petrol a powerful engine but no low down grunt for long hills. I did once tow with a non turbo diesel which pottered along at around 40mph and was regularly overtaken by VW campers.

Swing Infotainment which formats will it play?
Here we go, which formats will the Swing Infotainment play. I have a program called Easy Audio Copy, it allows ripping with minimum error (for No error try Exact Audio Copy) using MP3, Flac, or Wav. I am running Win.7 and the Media player is the poor relation of the media player family. I did download and play a copied Cd via SD card in the media player format WMA. but I know nothing about this format Finally; Easy Audio Copy is £25 for a licence, (free 14 day trial) is there a Free copier that will rip a whole CD worth of tracks in one go that is as easy to use

2016 Fabia TSI: chain or belt driven?
I am not a petrol head so I don't know the ins and outs of every car on the market. However every modern car I can think of has a cam belt, which should tell you something. Even motorcycles are using belt or shaft drives, chain final drives on a m/cycle can be visually inspected and easily adjusted unlike a cam chain.

Crap fuel economy
Or the two American tourist ladies who rented a mini, they complained of low mpg, they had toured Cornwall in second gear thinking the car was an automatic. I averaged 42mpg Bristol to S.Devon via M5 eco tyre pressures, motorway speeds

Fabia MPI 75. Too slow?
I tried The Mpi in black, it looked cool. I bought the 110 Fabia estate because it was cool and could carry passengers and luggage without struggling.

Poor Handling In Wet
You could of course take more care in the wet 😉 I have the Korean tires on mine and run them at 2.2bar I have just upped them to Eco 2.5 for a camping load and will take care to re-learn the new handling characteristics At 2.2 they are really good even in the wet but I am always circumspect on wet roads as even the best tires will aquaplane if the water beats just one tire. Concorde used to aquaplane at around 20mph (if I remember correctly)

Just how does the car charge the battery?
If I am not using the car I put the battery on charge, using the excellent C Tek charger. After the lockdown I gave it the refresh cycle, it is a "new" battery but it certainly perked it up, the cars system cannot be doing it any good.

Yeti to Fabia.
Two Yeti and I loved them, both 2l diesel 2wd and towed light caravans beautifully. All the shouting about diesel and my own reduced milage made me look around for a small petrol with plenty of room. I had driven a lot of Fiestas and liked the breed immensely but I saw the Mk 3 Fabia monte carlo estate in the show room specced by a buyer that backed out and available. I am a boy racer at heart and the1l tsi motor sang its syren song 110 x 6speed and an attitude! I was hooked. It swallows a 6 berth tent, camp beds porta loo, tv, fridge, kitchen and cooker, the soft stuff goes in a top box and it still growls through traffic like a great white on a mission. Brilliant small car that thinks it is bigger. Dislikes; no heated windscreen and crap headlights, the mensa test radio/ phone connection and I had to buy and fit my own mud flaps. The Fabia is growing on me.
