The seat squab moves back when lowered, I could then swivel on the seat slide my legs out and over the sill then push off the seat. There is even a handle that clips into the doorlock (temporarily) to assist egress.

I'm 6'-2" and found lowering the seat made a useful difference
  3. Is this the Auto-hold button?
  4. I have lane assist and like to choose a line (when it is safe to do so) the only response I have experienced to crossing a line is a slight tensioning of the steering, a little like screwing down a motorcycle steering damper.
  5. This does sound like an electronic sound , low battery? on some device
  6. Thank you Phutters, what was the Google search you used
  7. All my Skoda so far, Yetis and Fabia, have had raised edge rubber floor mats. These keep water trodden into the cockpit on the mat for easier cleaning. Problem, only cheap flat mats, no edge, universal fitting not model specific. My Kamiq being "new" is not recognised by registration lists and only main dealers have Kamiq fit mats at around £70 with postage. Anyone found good mats at a reasonable price?
  8. Wildlife trapped under your bonnet?
  9. Yes thats the gap, this can run right across the bars on some makes, so whatever make you decide on watch the gap.
  10. Whatever bars you settle for remember to make sure the slot underneath has a sealing strip, or the wind roar will really P*** you off.
  11. What are the usb C cables for on the Kamiq? charging a phone or connecting to the infotainment system? I have heard you need very good quality cables, but which ones?
  12. Looking at Karoq and Kamiq in the showroom, I noticed that there was no trim on the under sill, I was told they were all like that, unless running boards were fitted ..... is that right?

  14. Just looking through the spec. I noticed "tow bar preparation" does this mean the wiring harness is fitted? the tow ball just needs attaching? or what?
  15. While I do fairly short milages 100 to 200 round trips I don't begrudge premium fuel and I like to believe I get something back in better mpg and pulling power.
  16. Thank you I will try that.
  17. The 110 Monte liked premium better than 95, no real factual basis but just seemed smoother so I was happier
  18. I have just swapped in my Fabia Monte for a Kamiq 1.5 tsi dsg monte carlo 2021, I have not driven an automatic for many years, so life should get interesting. It has a lot of bells and whistles any tips on which ones are genuinely useful and which are not. What sort of petrol does the 1.5 like, I ran my Monte 110 on a super grade, any info welcome.
  19. I was going to change the horn on my Fabia but apparently it upsets the cars circuit sensors, or some such.
  20. Removable!! I hit my shin on my fixed towball and ended up in a local hospital for the day, (after driving miles to find one) stitches, bruising and shock.
  21. All doors from inside? thank you
  22. I did, she is still on the house roof ..... Thanks AG Falco
  23. Whats that button for said the Lioness, my snappy answer of dunno did nothing to impress. I must admit I had never noticed it before, a big padlock pictogram, so what is it please.
  24. Always had Yeti, then decided to save the earth and dropped down to a Fabia Estate. The one in the showroom was someone elses spec. but the Lioness fell in love with it, A 1L 110 Monte Carlo it takes off whatever the load and swallows an amazing amount of gear for camping although I fitted an Ocean 80 top box for bedding and clothing. I had driven most of the Fabia engine sizes and a Citigo small engine. The 110 is it though with its 6 speed g/box, If I were less restrained I could play Boy Racer all day every day and be a steady camper at weekends.
