  1. I had a loose windscreen trim on a Yeti it droned, I drove up to Norfolk and it got hit by a stone then it whistled I took it off and had it replaced under warranty.
  2. I had a problem with a sender float once, apparently the tank was all but empty. filling it from empty with the full volume petrol hose had bent the float causing a poor/non-existent signal.
  3. With all the rain we get now Rubber mats are really a must as long as you take them out ocassionaly to let the carpets air
  4. If you give dimensions, perhaps someone will measure up for you.
  5. Yesterday I had the welcome upload and then my music came on only it did not have e a volume control slider on the screen, why? My car is a Mk.4 SLE .
  6. Once the panic has set in it makes its own problems, Sit down have a cup of tea then remove the other seats to give yourself room. Another pair of hands might be useful. Is the seat even on the runners and not twisted. Does the latch release completely. Can one person hold the chair square to the rails while someone gives firm blows with their hands on the chair frame just above the runners. I hope this is helpfull.
  7. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tiCGpdhN7Dk EV's being SORN ed and Diesels being restored to run again what is going on?
  8. My last 4 cars have had no glove compartment light nor boot lights, so I carry a torch! I even resorted to stick on battery lamps in the boot which were very successful.
  9. Air your concerns with your chosen repairer so they can be extra careful when installing.
  10. Ratchet Tool test; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QP2AAEi3U6U
  11. The mount I have has a rubber protrusion with 4 slots that fit over the vent slats, located near the top of the vent the adapter prevents droop by touching the vent feed pipe
  12. I spilled a little Ad-Blue in the boot after filling, I was told to clean it up thoroughly as it is very corrosive! Don't flush it down waterway drains!
  13. Towing with a Yeti, going I had the wind behind me and it was mainly downhill, coming back I had the wind head on and a lot of hills to climb! That certainly made a difference to fuel consumption.
  14. I once had the large rubber boot "drain" plug smaller than the hole, in that it moved around in the hole. the leak only occurred when the roads were really running water hard.
  15. Do you have children? if they could clean chimneys surely replacing a lightbulb is an improvement in their conditions😀
  16. I use a mount that clips to the dash vent it has been in 3 cars to date.
  17. Have a look here, https://www.google.com/search?q=Skoda+Wheel+hanger+alignment+pin&oq=Skoda+Wheel+hanger+alignment+pin&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEUYOTIGCAEQRRg80gEKMTMxMzNqMGoxNagCCLACAfEFi-DH3v8_YW4&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
  18. I caught a short video, a technician was trying to find a battery drain and had located a specific item i.e. a radio taking current. He was using an infra red scanner when besides the radio there was an even bigger hotspot plugged into the ODB. This item is fitted by some insurance companies to monitor driving skills and can result in lower premiums. But it is constantly looking for data and the power consumption goes up even when the car is not in use. I apologise if I have not quite got this right but I thought it might give a pointer to someone trying to trace a battery drain.
  19. I put my battery on charge around every 3-4 weeks (C-tek) my milage is lower than usual due to operation complications
  20. Have you checked the earth to that particular indicator bulb?
  21. Tell Mr Milliband, all electric will not work. The amount of money needed for the average consumer to go electric rises all the time. In practice you are unlikely to be running all your electric appliances at the same time and charging your car.
  22. The factory job is probably the neatest and unless you diy, aftermarket is as expensive, I found for the same set up.
  23. It is possible that a google search will get better results than dragging around the site.
  24. I often see showroom cars with an indicator lead discretely hanging out of the bonnet, I was told this is a Ctek option. I use the power socket to plug into for charging and a weatherproof box on the end of my extension lead where I plug in the Ctek into its socket in the box then sit it under the wheel arch out of the weather anyway, better safe.
  25. If you have all the bits, would it not be possible to repair it? I notice you-tube has many special glueing videos.
