  1. sorry to hijack the thread but im about to order coilover with the hope of a 40 or 50mm drop on standard vrs 17's with 205/50/17 tyres. will this catch the coilover platforms?
  2. im not convinced by the vito drop links as the standard ones have a m12 thread and the vito ones have m10 so it will be a loose fit in the hole. however i think im going down the more expensive route of adjustable drop links with pro sport coilovers. however im concerned about all the stories of tyre rubbing the coilover body and people needing spacers, is this correct? as im only running 205/50/17 tyres
  3. Hi guys. Ive noticed after rain there is a damp patch on carpet in the rear drivers side. Its not in the footwell but it is the thin patch of carpet between rear seat bench and rear drivers side door. The footwell is dry. Could it be blocked roof drains from the roof bar attachment points as mine dont have a sunroof. All footwells are dry
  4. From the album: My Octy VRS

found a RAF sea king outside elgin with gearbox problems
  5. Found a broken down sea king on the way home and after chatting to the crew and being ex-raf they let me get the car up close for a pic.
  6. I cant find different hose tails i have measured the thread and they appear to be 9/16-18 sae fittings
  7. hi guys, sorry if this has already been covered but i cant find the answer. i have bought a catch can off ebay with 15mm inlets but i cant figure out the best way to plumb it in. has anyone got any drawings/ diagrams also it came with 15mm hose but the rocker cover seems to be a bigger connection.
  8. im running a pipercross panel in standard airbox and the turbo spool sounds awesome and you can really hear the 007p dumping :-) check out mighty car mods on youtube they proove on a dyno with a skyline that cone filters do nothing for performance over a standard airbox.
  9. love the colour scheme! thats a nice looking engine bay, just one question, in the close up of the catch can, top right of the picture, where did u relocated the box mounted to the trianglular mount on bulk head?
  10. Hi guys, if i do this mod and get a light on due to sai being missing, will this affect performance ( limp mode) as i dont have vagcom but am tempted to get rid of sai as its noisy
  11. wish you were nearer to me. ive been wanting some black wheels
  12. I read on the THS site that this kit requires modification to fit the octavia as its designed for a mkIV golf. did you have any probs fitting it? or have to cut any bumper/bodywork? as im seriously interested in this kit.
  13. is it possible to get one of the briskoda.net stickers made in green? in particular 'kelly green' its a green vinyl i found at a local graphics shop which is almost the same as the brakes on my vrs.
  14. painted engine cover, battery cover and top of air box sorry about the sun reflection off the battery box
  15. you can still get the smooth green hammerite in halfords and b&q
  16. does the rear caliper pistons just push in or do they get screwed in? as the handbrake works off the caliper my old a4 had to screw the pistons back in. i have a 2004 octavia vrs
  17. hi, just found my octavia vrs has had its speakers replaced by previous owner. it has alpine type E speakers up front with alpine tweeters and hifonics zeus speakers in the rear all running off oem headunit. are these speakers anygood? or can anyone suggest better speakers especially for the rear, i would prefere not to go down the amp root though.
  18. Hi guys, just recently got a 2004 octavia vrs in black magic, previous owner has stage 1 mapped it and fitted a forge 007p dv. I am about to fit a milltek exhaust with 200 cell cat and 2.5" downpipe. Im needing advice on what coilovers to get with a £500 budget, and are there any issues with a 50mm drop? One of my mates suggested ap coilovers, are these any good?
