  1. I'll keep you posted. He mentioned that due to the huge succes in Denmark, orders picked up now might face ~9 months delivery time
  2. :Give that man a noble prize smiley: Most people doesn't see it as an 'indicator' but as a 'turn signal. I believe 75% of all people flick the lever as they are turning the wheel because it is a convenient one-motion action.
  3. Had a chat with my local dealer (in Denmark) today as it is 1½ month since I placed the order. He could still not access the system at the factory to see what my expected delivery would be. Ok, not to his advantage but I work in supply chain my self and is just wondering: Today + (number of orders before mine) * (average build time per car) = expected date ? Not that hard to calculate... Anyway, he said they were doing a major rebuild on the factory in August thus next to no cars are comming off the lines. Anyone can confirm this ? Secondly, rumors were Denmark only recieving 90 more cars this year and they had to be split between the dealers, but how does that relate to my "unique" build he could not say ?
  4. Ok, valid points. In Denmark we have an inspection of the car after 4 years (and then every second year following) where the car has to meet certain criteria. One of these are emission levels, so if I remapped I could potentially look into a notation or even failure and had to re-remap to get the required emission levels which in my mind makes it pointless
  5. I don't really get remaps, why doesn't the car manufacturer optimize the ECU better if is clearly that easy. Could it be equal to pouring ethanol in your moped as a boy, making it go faster for a little while but components wear off so much faster ?
  6. Try out dafont.com the guys over there are pretty ood at spotting fonts
  7. Haha, you can actually see the fuel gauge move :-)
  8. My point being exactly that you take the charts and then add your own assumptions :-)
  9. Full thottle on the vRS 2.0 TSI AT (DSG) would make the car change to 6th gear around ~280 km/h ??? How does these charts comply when you add windresistance ?
  10. Thanks, it looks rather ok. Though I would have prefered all LEDs just because I'm a gear nerd
  11. Most of the start/stop systems will not work if: - The motor temperature is below 90 degree (or other normal running temperature) - The out door temperature is below 5 or above 30 degrees - The Aircon is using to much current - The aircon blower is on 3 or higher - The seatbelt on the driverside is not buckled - Driver's door is open - The bonnet is open - The battery is low on charge - Car hasn't been above ~10mph on the last motion - You've just been driving in reverse - Indoor temperature is far lower what you've set it to be - Heating of the rear/front windscreen is on - System is disabled by the on/off button (with the wierd A+arrow around it symbol) I thought this thread was about real errors like the window trim (from another thread) ? Edit: grammar
  12. Isn't all the mirrors folded on the VRS' in the pictures just posted? I thought that was not an option (in the UK at least)
  13. I just noticed, why have they put that thick red reflector stripe all across the rear bumper? On the white estate with the black difuser it doesn't look that odd but the for the rest, it's simply spoiling the rear end look
  14. When you first start driving with cruise control you'll notice how bad other people are at keeping a steady pace, yoyo'ing from 60-80 mph all the time without even noticing.
  15. Might be out of profit reasons. If they can get everyone to pay extra for the add-on it would be far more beneficial than nursing the consumer into thinking things like that should be standard equipment (for the same cost).
  16. It's not really the size anymore, it's solving the puzzle
  17. Pic doesn't really show anything, but just assure us that it was like expected. If you don't bother making the video, a picture of each setting would do.
  18. Really, I found the sound extremely flat and thin. Like on pc speakers and portables for your phone.
  19. That was one of the reasons I could buy this car. I've been driving the VW cars with that feature for a couple of years and I can simply not get used to any other cruise controller.
  20. Grats... the wheels look increadible (and ensures me that I made the right choice )
