I just went to my local dealer with my wife to get her a Citigo (wife all smiles), salesman caught me looking at the VRS and said "nice isn't it" and I said "yeah, go and get the keys I want to drive it", job done but wife frowning in the background (imagine Marge Simpson when Homer impulsively buys things, as she knew I'd buy one lol)

Sworrall, thanks for the pics, I agree with you that it doesn't quite look right in some of the pics but I've found a few others on line and I have to say I'm liking the meteor grey.

It might be worth noting that turning these off might be considered a modification and if you were to have an accident and your insurance company find out I think you may find your insurance could be void.

The one I test drove (estate vRS), I felt was a really good ride and that was on 18" pictoris alloys. I've read a few reviews on line that say they 18 are supposed to be a good ride (as I found) but the 19" optionals are supposed to be harsh so unless that's what they were equipped with.

Just ordered one as my hatch was not going to get to me to mid - late Jan and I was wondering if anyone knows where I can find some "real life" pics of what it'll look like? Looks sweet with the black pack, black windows and anthracite gemini's on the build your skoda config and hoping looks as good in real life :-)

Well got a call from Skoda UK today (from an email I sent last week) confirming that the hatches (vRS, not sure if its all hatches) were definitely not going to be in production until November so January delivery at the soonest, which is what a few of you guys had pointed out and thanks for that as somehow my dealership had not been informed of this. Anyway on the plus side just made a new order for a vRS estate, TDI, Meteor Gray, Black Pack, Anthracite Gemini's, Tinted Windows, Cruise Control, Winter Pack and KESSY. :-)

Thanks for the info. That was what I feared. Don't think I can wait till January (might as well wait till March then) so may well have to think about getting the estate or as you say a different car all together

Hi guys, I just wanted to run something by you on waiting times. I've seen a few people put up they are expecting long waits for their vRS but I ordered mine just under two weeks ago and my dealer is adamant that the wait will be 12 weeks max (so 10 to go). Is that a realistic time frame?

They are some long waits, is everyone having the same waiting time or does it change on the size of the dealership? Ordered my vRS hatch TDI just under two weeks ago and the dealer is adamant it'll be 12 weeks max, are they blowing smoke?

Hi all, I'm new to the site and found you guys when looking for information on my soon to be new baby, a TDI Octavia VRS. I'm a first time Skoda owner and decided on a Octavia VRS to balance my want of a good performance car with my need of a family car. Hoping to be able to gain as much knowledge as I can from all you guys on here to help me get the most out of my new purchase. Can't wait to get it :-)
