You have 3 lambdas on the vRS. When you replace a lambda with a new one the CEL will turn itself off after some miles. Get the error codes ... it will tell you exactly what is wrong.

Is it just the grill sorround that has been painted or also the grill itself?

No I havent used vagcom lately and it doesnt seem to do it over a certain speed. All I can say is that it sounds like it locks and then unlocks again. Sometimes a couple of times ... there is no pattern.

Hi, Lately my Octys right rear door has begun sounding like it is locking/unlocking the door WHILE I'm driving the car. The central lock works fine. Any ideas to what is wrong? 2002 Octy RS with 100k miles on the clock.

Hmm damn it, I hoped it would be an almost straight swap. So you are sayng the headlights wont work without the level adjuster?

Hi, I going to mount some original Octavia xenon headlights on my 2002 vRS. Is it a straight swap og will there be trouble? It is part # 1U1941016M and 1U1941015M I'm fitting instead of the standard H4 lights.

I have been driving with a H4 HID kit for about a year now. I am not impressed and the Octavia H4 headlights are not suitable for HID fidment. The spread of the light i too much so you end up blinding others unless you adjust the headlights to point down. But pointing them down you will loose the effect of the great light that xenons give. I'm going back to halogen for a while untill I find the original xenon headlights (If I can find som cheap ones). You need theese Bildelsbasen - Sveriges st

Smithy > It is a DIY job ... Get the Bosh lambda ... its half the price. Mine did it the day after I fittet the lambda, but the fault codes are still saved in the ECU though.

The splutter problem when cold is a classic. Arb bushes are classic to. Have/have had the same issues with mine when I bought it, but now it runs fine and have been doing so the past year covering 31000miles. Dont sell it!

The light engine man. light turs itself out when things are sorted, but keeps the error codes in the computer. It also went out by it self a day after I changed my lambda.

I actually like the green Skoda light .... otherwise I wouldnt have bought the car. And I so much like the dash/interior of the vRS contra the standard MK1 Octavia/Standard G4 GTi wich is absolutely BORING. So I'll go for the original MK1 vRS FIS cluster. But I like your conversion to blue also though ... just not that Skoda'ish

Yeah I've noticed that its hard to get a used FIS display :eek: Now when you have info in the MFA display, is the information still available in the left (clock) display or how does it work? How much did the project cost you?
