  1. It takes a while to get used to DSG and if the car's new it takes a while to get bedded in, loosen up etc. This car (albeit a 245 petrol) was terrible for fuel and it didn't like slow speeds after a long stint of motorway speeds, but now it's fine. Economy has improved and now all the gremlins have been sorted out, software updated it's great, in fact it's better than before. 🙂
  2. Have a look on Aliexpress and I've seen quite a few on there, however it can be slow. Ebay has them too (Short angled lightning cables) Baseus cables are good too.
  3. Park assist is great for getting in and out of tight spaces. It really should be standard nowadays.
  4. It's only the newer sets that do, the older one's have an old system of slowly heating up the screen from either side or bottom to top.
  5. Why would you want to refuse an update? 🤔
  6. Got all of them on my car, it's about the only good thing about it.
  7. Possibly do a firmware update/upgrade, see the relevant thread. You do it entirely at your own risk. Get it wrong and you are looking at a big bill to replace the unit.
  8. Try updating the obd11 app and have Bluetooth switched on 1st.
  9. Just like 00:00 and the date 01.01.1970? Join the club!
  10. You got two hope's. Bob and No. As Bob's now dead. No hope.
  11. Choose me some lottery numbers please. I need some luck.
  12. I wear reactolite specs and I have no trouble with the wires in the windscreen, you soon learn to ignore them as you do any glare. I'm used to it as all the trains I drive (apart from the really old one's) have electrically heated screens with the fine wires in them.
  13. In on the 20th for visit #13. 👿
  14. You'll love the winter pack on cold and icy days or if you are soaked to the skin, the heated seats are gorgeous and they're also great if you have a bad back. 🤗 The screen is usually clear of ice in 90s.
  15. Use the update portal, enter your VIN number, download and install. Simple.
  16. Won't be having one, for two reasons. 1. It ugly as hell. 2. I've had enough of this junk heap. Looking for a Cupra or Golf next time.
  17. That would be a real let down.
  18. Both tyres and tits are subject to inflation.
  19. Just remind me and tell me if I've got this right, because I'll do this on a run to work which is around about 25'. 1. Format a SD card to FAT32. 2. Extract the contents of the file that I have to the SD card. 3. Remove ALL cards from the controller in the glovebox 4. Insert the card containing the firmware update into Slot 1 5. Go into the menu, find and activate the update function 6. Let it get on with it, do not stop the engine or turn off the ignition during the process. Or stop it once started. 7. Once complete, let it reboot and stabilize and it's complete. Yes?
  20. You don't, it's on your smartphone. Install it, if it's not already there, connect it via a USB cable or Bluetooth. Using Android Auto or Apple IoS alternative.
  21. Off as soon as it encounters a speed bump.
  22. Here we go. The relevant information about my cars Infotainment system.
  23. Thanks bigade. Spot on. Info retrieved.
