  1. I but my oil from here. http://directskodaparts.co.uk/ £28.99 for OEM 507.00 spec 5w30 posted is a great deal in my opinion.
  2. If your not confident in doing the mr muscle you could try an intank cleaner or the revive treatment. But you will need vcds to do the revive treatment to reset the fault code afterwards Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  3. Short answer is no, they would not fail an MOT in my opinion.
  4. I once used one of these many years ago and I didn't rate them at all. Failed quite quickly afterwards too. The stretchy ones are much better but the best ones are the ones that are the correct size and shape from a reputable manufacturer that you have to strip the drive shaft down to fit.
  5. Perfect. Not too hard not too soft. Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  6. For the price of a can of plastidip it might be worth a punt but for exact matching result a body shop would be the way to go.
  7. Which company did you use for your track day insurance and how much was it. Many thanks.
  8. Have a look on the VCDS owners map.
  9. I have for sale a brand new unopened Ipad Mini 2 16gb Wifi that I got as part of an online deal that I do not need so I am selling it. They cost £240 from the apple store. First person with £200 takes it home. Will post at buyer expense once funds are cleared but collection from Andover is preferred. Thanks for looking.
  10. Hi not sure what this code is, I would get the codes read by someone who has VCDS and then repost and I will try and help.
  11. No. Its on standard shocks and it doesn't run Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  12. Awsome. If you've got it I would like to see a tutorial on this.
  13. Nick I have had the pi 30mm lowering springs on 2 vrs's (1 x CR and 1 x TSI) now and love them. They lower by about 20 - 25mm which makes it sit just right (IMO) without being too low and catching all the speed bumps. They are just the right price too.
  14. When I replaced my 2011 VRS rear discs I measured them and they were 288mm
  15. I wouldn't even try to run the car without the turbo. The ECU is expecting it to be there and will only cause you more problems and make diagnosis of your actual problem more difficult. Here is what I would do 1. Take it to a different mechanic - one who specialises in the VAG range. 2. Have it scanned with VCDS. Report back if the fault persists and the new mechanic cannot sort it out for you.
  16. Get it checked with VCDS. Do a search on the VCDS owners map, there will be someone near you with it. How many miles has the engine covered. Your fault (on the limited information supplied) sounds like the inlet manifold carbon build up problem.
  17. The one I use is either live all the time or on second click.
