  1. Yes, or alternatively you can program it into the drop down favourites menu. I added it and the esc in there. I just despise the system especially when coupled with the dsg. The infotainment can on occasion take a few mins to get up and running which I’m hoping will improve in the future with an update
  2. You won't regret it. I had a mk3 vrs tsi for 6 years (longest I've kept a motor) and this is miles ahead. Takes a while to get accustomed to the infotainment but the build quality both inside and out has moved on leaps and bounds. I'm in and out of alot of different cars and Skoda has struck this perfect
  3. Very nice. I considered this exact spec as it was my dealers display model however my neighbour currently has a mk3 FL in this colour. It's one of the few cars I think suits the colour
  4. Yes mine came with heated wheel. Agree with you re the specs. I've never had a rear camera before and wouldn't bother with it either as sensors always been enough for me personally. My car is also non dcc. I'm starting to think the sound actuator is maybe linked to the DCC pack. I only want to try it out as when I go for a more spirited drive in manual mode the engine needs to be heard to get the best shift points etc I'm hoping the hardware is there and it just needs activated as such
  5. Yes thanks however I want to permanently disable stop start and lane assist. Or at least have them reversed so that they’re defaulted to off. does you car have DCC fitted? Thanks
  6. I'll check mine shortly and get back to you. I really think we need to be getting all the incremental updates to start getting rid of bugs
  7. Has anyone managed to search and successfully complete a software update as yet? I’ve attempted a few times but the infotainment screen hangs on ‘searching for updates’ I know the infotainment has its gremlins so I’d like to be running the latest available firmware Ta
  8. I’ve covered 500 miles now in my mkiv vrs. Non dcc car and no regrets with suspension. It does still have the sport setting for chassis which firms things up slightly
  9. I have a note 20 ultra running android 11 (only updated within last few days) and can’t get it to work either unfortunately
  10. I’m talking about the blanks to the left and right of the seat release. My last octavia mk3 estate had strong fold away hooks in place of those blanking plates similar to these
  11. My octavia seems to have blanks in place where I thought the fold down luggage/bag hooks would be. How does yours look?
  12. I’m told it can be done by basically changing the battery voltage value so that the system never activates, I.e the stop start system always thinks a fully charged and normal voltage battery is below the threshold to allow stop start to work
  13. Dealers are clueless as was told basically the same as Ford ....
  14. Yes very. Only annoyance is having to turn stop/start and lane assist off every time start the thing but once Vcds catches up they will be turned off permanently. The lane assist is in my opinion dangerous
  15. You’ll get the 3 stage heated wheel as standard. My last car was a Ford which had the heated screen, I would never personally have it again as the elements for me became very visible in strong sunlight and I hated the sight of it
  16. Personally didn’t think the canton was worth the extra money/time for delivery as I got a vrs that had already been built and the standard system is actually quite good. VRS is really well specced out as standard, only option I opted for was spare wheel.
  17. I tried to however the car linked to my phone and wanted to setup a data plan, is this needed?
  18. Hi. I have a Samsung note 20 which has just been updated to android 11 which allows wireless android auto. I’ve enabled it on the phone etc but has anyone managed to get wireless android auto working as yet? Can’t get it to connect wirelessly
  19. I went through 3 different dealers to get the best deal on my new VRS. Only one the aforementioned dealers had a clue what they were talking about with regard to the new octavia. Your dealer is wrong and is either knowingly trying to charge you more or isn’t overly interested in establishing the spec. All UK vrs with have the sweeping indicators at the rear, led matrix headlights and the high function tail lights . That info came from Skoda Uk when I enquired through official contact channels
  20. No problem. I think the problem is Skoda use some of the options/packs from the other octavia models and list them against the vrs when in fact the vrs has items such as dynamic rear led and heated wheel etc as standard
  21. Thanks, I will test mine soon to make sure and if that’s the case reactivate KESSY
  22. HI folks I have checked user manual and online but no definitive answer found as to whether the new keys for our mk4 Octavias and mk8 `golfs etc have the "sleep" function. My last car which was a Ford had this to prevent the signal being looped by car thieves. I have disabled KESSY until I can confirm this one way or another Anyone know anything definitive? Thanks
