VRS TSI 2021 18" Wheels ?
Have you driven a mkiv on the 19s? Having owned both a mk3 on 18s for 7 years and now a mk4 on 19s they ride very similar. Both non dcc cars

XDS, or EDL, or XDL+ electronic differential lock - is it supplied at all in the UK?
Mk4 vrs Tsi 245 has the electronically controlled mechanical lsd. I think the other vrs models get the e-lsd which uses brake pulsing to simulate the effects of a mechanical lsd

I have the double sided genuine Skoda one, worth every penny

Yes oil temp at least 80 before I push her on. When UK lockdown ends I am really looking forward to taking the family in the car to tour Scotland nc500 etc. Perfect car for it IMO

Not sure but I know people from the mk8 fit forums are running differing software versions dependant on market. I will take a pic of my entire software info and post. It doesn’t appear as though VAG publish their change logs- 1200k done and dealer visit tomorrow
Car collected after some 6 hours of software updates They have ordered me a new sunglass holder and a replacement kick plate As for sound actuator it appears early uk cars got the heated steering wheel as standard in place of the sound actuator. Dealer making further enquiries but they are of the opinion there is an additional speaker for cars with it I am now on software 1668 up from 1666. Heated steering wheel button no longer activates climate screen on infotainment. Infotainment feels a bit snappier. Also the car definitely feels more responsive on throttle so not sure if something has changed here or just a reset etc They also told me lane assist has been toned down a bit- 1200k done and dealer visit tomorrow
Not yet, I’ll take a picture tomorrow. They told me they’d likely have the car the entire day- 1200k done and dealer visit tomorrow
Hi folks I have now completed just over 1200 miles in my vrs 245 tsi. I’m very impressed overall so far and the engine has loosened up nicely with mpg increasing to high 30s on my normal commute of a relatively short 17 mile round trip. Also pushed the car on a bit and she handles quite well for her size and weight. Brakes are good and the diff works well to aid traction. The car is a real mile muncher She goes into dealer tomorrow for some software updates which I’m hopeful will improve the somewhat clunky infotainment. I’ve been told there are some 15 different systems they need to check for updates but won’t know what’s available update wise until they plug the car in I’ve a small list of niggles for them to look and some questions namely Defective catch on sunglasses holder which won’t allow it to stay closed Worn paint on the drivers vrs kick plate after careful washing Clarification around sound actuator strange loud rattle on first cold start up of a day Overly intrusive and IMO dangerous lane assist interventions climate panel opening when activating heated steering wheel I’ll update and let you all know how I get on- Annoying things about the Mk4!
Might be worth starting a new thread for this to keep us all updated if you don’t mind. I too want rid of the over intrusive lane assist and also stop/start. Have you found option at all for the sound actuator? Thanks- Chassis setting in individual profile
There is a discernible difference. Most noticeable at a low speeds on poor road surface or speed bumps or at higher speeds when pushing on through a corner- De-badged rear - VRS estate
I’ve removed the octavia and vrs from my hatch bit considering also removing the Skoda lettering.- Chassis setting in individual profile
Dealers knew nothing about this of course https://youtu.be/cxqbpEhA9Ak- Chassis setting in individual profile
Non dcc cars still have adjustment to the dampers through this setting. Skoda did a press release video on it. I will try and link to it. It is however not as advanced as dcc- De-badged rear - VRS estate

Didn’t think it was an option. What colour are you going for?- Heated steering
Personally I would be pushing for 3 complimentary services or similar in compensation and use the money saved from that to maybe source a 2nd hand one when they come onto the breakers market- RHD footrest
Has anyone sourced an aluminium footrest cover for a RHD car? Purely aesthetic . DSG model just in case the footrest differs between manual and dsg Thanks- New 2021 VRS running in
Changed this setting today so that wheel and heated seats come on temp depending. Can we set what external temp activates them at all as couldn’t see this ?- Heated steering
What else changed 21st Dec out of interest?- Gear selection display on virtual cockpit
Not possible as yet to display this way but could come with firmware updates. I’d also like it especially when driving more enthusiastically.- Vrs petrol mpg
I ran an mk3 vrs Tsi estate in manual for 6 years and some 80k. I was however doing around three times my current annual mileage. I averaged mid to high 30s in that. The mk4 to me feels a heavier car. I would say what you seek mpg wise is achievable dependant on driving style and mileage. On my current 8 mile each way commute I am only seeing oil temps get to 70ish and gearbox temps lower. So she isn’t running efficiently . I’ll report back in a few 100 miles and I will also do an oil change circa 1,500 miles. I know it will improve.- Vrs petrol mpg
Don’t want to take the thread off topic so will simply agree to disagree. However buyers beware is an appropriate statement - 1200k done and dealer visit tomorrow
