Hi folks As per the title I picked up my new VRS Tsi yesterday evening . No pictures as yet due to the horrendous weather and lack of light My car was a non DCC equipped car however I note when in drive mode selection there is an option under the individual settings for ‘chassis’ with the options of either normal or sport. I tried switching between the two but couldn’t really notice any discernible difference. Any ideas as to what this would actually adjust? I do not appear to have the sound enhancement activated and cannot find the option to change it anywhere. I seen a few videos of the Mk8 gti where this was changed in the individual drive mode setting but there is no such option on mine. I simply want to test it, again anyone any ideas? Has anyone managed to change the power units from kw and nm? I’m overly very impressed with the cat apart from the bloody lane assist which is overly intrusive. I will have to find a way to disable that and stop start somehow Thanks

I just picked my vrs up yesterday and it has a heated steering wheel. It’s listed as standard equipment on the model website for the UK

Update from dealer mine is now in UK port so hopefully delivery this side of Xmas

I was watching a review video on YouTube and told the wife I’ve ordered one, she laughed as if I was joking. So I will just collect it and turn up, there will be plenty of space in the boot for when she throws my belongings out the window lol

Has anyone any technical info on the changes to the new ea888 evo 4 engine in the new vrs245? I always like to have a read over any changes simply out of interest but not much out there it seems. Do we know what turbo variant Skoda is running on the new vrs 245 tsi? thanks

In anticipation of car arrival I have two questions re the keys and features I currently have a Ford which has keyless start only. The key signal effectively goes to sleep to prevent looping and keyless thefts Does the mk4 key have this feature? Also can I disable the keyless entry and just avail of keyless start? Thanks

I’d imagine you could also have delivery in 3 to 4 weeks if you skipped the rear camera

Jimc vrs - upon checking with local dealer re stock they informed me there were 4 cars already built and in the port of exit unallocated/unsold. They were all dsg hatches with spare tyres . Two were grey, one blue and one silver. I was happy enough with the spec and bought one of the grey ones.

Be sure to add a few pics, the red looks very nice. The only option I went for was the spare tyre. Only ever had problems with the temp repair solution often supplied as standard now. Do you know how long you will have to wait for it?

Hi folks I have returned to the forum having previously owned a mk3 vrs Tsi for 6 years I was very impressed with new vrs so have ordered a quartz grey dsg saloon. I believe it may be one of the first customer orders in Northern Ireland Dealer has told me it’s sitting it port of exit at Germany. Has anyone had an recent experience as to how long it is likely to take to arrive at dealer? They’ve said anywhere between 2 to 4 weeks I am looking forward to getting her. Preffered the look of the saloon over the estate this time I am still not 100% on the wheels though and think it will need lowered slightly Anyone else ordered one as yet and if so how did you spec ? I will get a few pics up once collected Thanks
