The plans for this weekend are becoming more complex and stress inducing than a day at work!

Another one of "those" days! Should have know it was going to be like this, after pouring orange juice over my cereal, instead of milk, at breakfast!

The mother in law has just owned up to the fact she doesn't know how to use her "smart phone", so my so is teaching her! It's like watching two people who don't speak the same language trying to communicate; badly!! I don't think I can listen any longer without wetting myself with laughter. He's trying to teach her to use Twitter! WTF! She can't even get texting right! Hmmm.......... Must change my account or she'll find out what I've been saying about her!!!

How do you make a complaint about a company who's complaint system doesn't let you make a complaint? Spent ages on the phone this afternoon, pressing all the buttons I was told to, only to get a message saying "all the details I needed were on their website", before being cut off! Where the heck did they think I'd got the instructions from to use their **** eyed premium rate phone number in the first place!!!! If you want to get anything done in this world...................!

According to our pay services, the fact that I've been paid substantially less than i should have been "may" be because I've been put on emergency tax. If i have been then this is my fault, because they failed to put me on the payrol, or its because they've taken too much pension contribution, which is my fault again, because I chose to keep my existing plan and not take the new one that saves them money! They can't verify this as "I" need to do this with my pay slip, which they have sofar failed to send me! Bet pay services were paid this month!!

I've just spotted this thread, and spent time reading all the posts. I'm simply not certain that I have any words that are adequate to offer with regards to you loss. You and your family have my deepest sympathy.

The Mother in Law has bought a smart phone and can't use it. "Not very smart is it?" She says....... I was ready to say "Smart phone, dumb user!" But what actually came out was, "at least it's easy to see the screen!" Totally wussed out there!

I'm beginning to wonder if part of my new job spec includes "scape goat" and "only appoint when at the bottom of the barrel"!

Apparently I'm supposed to have known that you only put dishes that have already been washed, in a dishwasher! How did we manage before we had this labour saving device.....?

As much as I like working from home, i really hate when the rest of the family get home and they "forget" you are actually still at work! It's so hard to take business calls etc when SWMBO insists on watching some dire, no hope, straight to DVD chick flick at full volume, and then gets miffed when you remind her you are "at work" and ask her to turn it down!!!

Things that don't end well........... Trying to explain to your teenage son that just because a food is labeled "Diet" doesn't mean that he can eat twice as much! Or Leaving SWMBO to hang her own bike on the newly fitted wall rack, after a particularly busy day at work and a windy ride home!

Teenage son says "I want to watch ********". So on it goes. Five minute later, he's got his headphones on, and is playing/texting on his smart phone. I go to change channel, and his head pops up "Oi! I was watching that"! He can multitask! Yet any other time I he's asked to do "one" thing, he can't do it! Oh and heres another one, its been two weeks since the clocks altered, and today he says "dad...... How do I set my watch???" I mean he's a teenager, how come he can use a smart phone but not set his digital watch??? Arrrrggghhh!!

I'm only allowed to blurt on birthdays and special occasions!

Definitely replace the pollen filter as other have said. Yes the smell is caused by bacteria, and to be honest the "gas cans" you can buy from accessory shops just don't cut it, and can stain some fabrics. Ive used a professional auto aircon service ever since my first car with A/C. They use both internal "gas" generator and disinfectant spray to get at both sides of the ventilation system. Key thing to keep it fresh, is to use it all year round, or at least turn it on once every few weeks. If you do this, you should not need to disinfect it as often.

Hmm..... There was a thread on here about Columbus and sound system, but its going back a way, and I've not been able to find it with a search. I know that some people can just plug and play with a retrofit Columbus, but I'm sure you will specifically have to code it to make use of the extra amp/speakers of the sound system. I know there is a setting that allowed you to select the sound system, but you would need VCDS or similar to do it. HTH
