  1. Hi, I have just upgraded the brakes on our Elegance to VRS's so some spare parts for sale. The car has failed its MOT on 10th June with 128875miles on the clock with brakes being the reason. We've bought the car on 16th August with 129063 on the clock and done 200miles since. So both the discs and pads are 4 months old and done less then 400 miles. Don't know what brand the discs are (288mm version), pads are ACDelco. SO let say £25 for the discs and £10 for the pads. Discs are collection only, pads can be posted in buyer expenses
  2. Not particularly in rush but as we only use the Octy now I'd like to see it have a new home. I have PM'd you
  3. Right...so let's say £3650? (asking price but offers will be considered)
  4. The car sits parked and is not in use so would definitely benefit from new home. Any intereset; sensible offer?
  5. Cheers Lofty. At the time I was looking for the Fabia, I really wanted yellow with sunroof and cruise control but couldn't find any at all. Red looks great too but yellow...hmmm.... Anyway any interest at all? REASONABLE offers considered, try me.
  6. Yeah, I believe only 2 more options could be added - leather seats and double din unit? I second this! ^^^
  7. Skoda Fabia Mk1 VRS 2006 PD130 96kW We bought the car in September 2013 with 107k on clock and would keep it much longer but our first baby was born in February this year and we found the car to be a bit smaller than we'd like to so a month ago we bought Octavia Combi which suits us better. This is the only reason why we put this car for sale, no need for 2 cars. In fact I had plans to upgrade the brakes, hybrid turbo and fmic, 17" wheels, coilovers etc but the only thing I was able to change before we realized the need of bigger car were the brakes (see below). During our ownership the car had no problems which would keep us off the road but it is 8 years old car and I'm trying to keep all my stuff in good condition so I replaced few things which would go in time anyway (also see below). First thing before we started using the car, full service was done - new cambelt kit, fresh brake fluid and coolant liquid, new grearbox oil, new power steering oil (I wouldn't replace this but seals on the pump went off and oil leaked away), 6 months and 5000 miles later all new filters and engine oil. The car was used for commuting to work (around 10 miles each way) and for our holidays. We had 2 trips to central Europe (never again in small car ) and few across the UK. Key facts: Corrida red Registered in June 2006 (06 plate) 118200 on clock and won't rise as we use the Octy now MOT until 10th March 2015 Tax until 28th February 2015 Full service history, last service 3 weeks ago V5 in my partners name Log book and all relevant paperwork Cambelt replaced last year Good points: Factory fitted cruise control, sunroof, heated seats with side airbags, ESP (usually the VRSs are fitted with ASR), xenon headlights with washers 312 front and 256 rear brakes with new seals all around and repainted in Pantone 348 (coming from Golf iv 25th anni so were originally red), new pads (pagid), new discs (ATE), swapped in March before MOT Front tyres replaced in May (Avon ZV5), 7 mm left, rears are Rainsport 2 with 4.5 mm left Pioneer head unit with 32gb usb (I still have original unit and will be included in sale - fully working) After sale fitted parrot Bluetooth With the brakes new wishbone bushes (cupra one) fitted, new droplinks (Meyle), new ball joints (oem) and anti roll bar bushes New nsf window regulator All doors sealed with gutter sealant - no leak whatsoever Bad points: Usual stone chips on the bonnet and bumper (nothing major) Small wear hole in the driver's seat (see photo) Kerbing on the front wheel (see photo) Sometimes rattling noise coming from the dashboard Paint on the front seats rails peels off Overall the car looks fantastic for her age, runs great and will serve for many years to come. If you are interested, please drop me an pm here and we can arrange a viewing. Can pick up from train stations or from home if needed (only localy). I'm based in Salford, a mile away from Manchester's city centre. £3750 ovno No timewasters Thanks for looking
  8. Yes I have bought and used this paint. After almost 6 months & 6000 miles the brakes still look as just painted. And the color tone is exact match to the original paint used by Skoda. I didn't have a chance to take some pictures with proper camera (excuse my laziness), those below were taken by phone. this picture is absolutely awful, looks much lighter this is in real Hope that helps a little...
  9. Lots of information in this thread: http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/274533-top-boost-pipe-replacement-diy/
  10. I've bought one on ebay and the part number was 6Q0 145 832 C. The donor car was Ibiza though.
  11. So mine are M10 and the part up to the head of the bolt is ~19mm long. Drop me an pm if you want them.
  12. I've got 2 bolts from the 312mm fronts. Don't know if it's the same size as rears but they look like the one on the picture. Will post the size when get home from work.
  13. Pm'd about rear 2/3 base...
  14. Hi, any chance the battery cover/fuse housing still available? If so how much would you take delivered? Thanks
  15. http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/261760-the-brake-thread/?hl=%2Brear+%2Bdisc+%2Bthickness All information you need in one place
  16. A bit pricey IMO, but yes these will fit. For that price I would go with http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SKODA-OCTAVIA-VRS-RS-TURBO-1-8-REAR-BRAKE-PACKAGE-CALIPERS-PADS-DISCS-OE-/271299344978?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Model%3AOctavia|Cars+Type%3ARS+1.8+T&hash=item3f2ab37a52 but I'm sure you'll get used for less than £100.
  17. Well gloss finnish could reflect dirt around too much . Don't know really, I thought some reflection could look good. Will see...
  18. jon_woo or anyone who done this: I've bought full set from golf 25th anni and want to refurbish them but don't know how to get the pistons out from the front calipers. Any thoughts (btw they're not fitted on the car)? Have anyone a link or part number for correct seals kit? Links here and in other topics are either dead or lead to different listings. Thanks!
  19. Hi folks, past few days I was reading every topic about green caliper paints, went to halfords to find out that they are able to mix java green etc but it isn't the right match with the original green. Then I started looking for company which can mix RAL colors which seem to be close enough (6037 looks pretty close). When I emailed a company called paragon paint with some questions about their paints (and mentioned what I am looking for) they replied that they have a formula for pantone 348 developed and are able to mix it, it just isn't on the website. They then created a new product category on their website to order online (try to add and view the basket and check the description ) so if anyone would like to have their calipers painted in original color, check the link below. Cost with shipping was £22 for 0.5L - semi gloss which isn't so bad (halfords wanted £20 for java green but their paints are simple car body ones). I'm not sure if they do smaller then 0.5L though but I need this for 2 sets so fine by me. This is my first post but hopefully it doesn't look like an advertise... Will post pictures of the calipers when painted http://www.paragonpaints.co.uk/Pantone-348C.html Dal
