  1. Got my result through for my Masters, Graduating with a 2:1 (Merit)
  2. UnderGraduate Dissertation: Research into Hydrogen Fuel Cells Used For Aircraft Ancillaries.pdf
  3. UG and PG dissertations are uploaded to my linkedin profile. https://uk.linkedin.com/in/stewart-zieba PostGraduate Dissertation: The Development of a New Tank Fairing for a Lockheed L-188 Electra Airtanker to Reduce Aerodynamic Buffeting.compressed.pdf
  4. Removed both fronts and rears, had no MOT issues and has not caused any issues with braking. Pretty sure they are there to stop stones and stuff getting trapper between pads and discs.
  5. Live in Manchester, but have issues moving away if that is where the work is. CV has been uploaded to many sites, LinkedIn profile has been fully updated. I seem to pass all the testing and then just get we are looking for more experienced workers....even for graduate roles and I am applying with a Masters/postgraduate degree for undergraduate roles
  6. OK guys (send girls). Been away for a good few months due to finishing my Masters degree and spending a good 10-12 hours per day on my dissertation, finally finishing last month and graduating in December. Does anyone work in the industry who could possibly put a word in for me, have been having no luck with any applications over the last month or so.
  7. Had this with mine, took them for a drive for around 100miles and the noise has gone now.
  8. Hit one under a bridge at motorway speed, no way of avoiding without causing a hazard tyo other road users. Contacted Highways England straight away and got a form filled out and sent back. Finally got a letter through on day 89 (they have 90 days to reply to the claim) saying that the road was maintained correctly and that it was unfortunate that I hit it between them noticing it and repairing it. The proof was a hand written document which could have been filled out at anytime as the hand writing was all the same and looked like it had been batched completed. I had to pay to get it repaired myself in the end....not exactly happy.
  9. Update: Had a phone call from the guy who actually runs/owns it. Started off saying he was reply sorry for all the issues I have had, and he genuinely sounded it. Will be having a meeting with him to show him what was done and settle it.
  10. I had a similar issue which was caused by the nuts not being nyloc, so managed to work themselves loose over time. I wouldnt worry about a torque wrench just get them as tight as you can.
  11. Try http://www.prestigewheels.co.uk/ http://www.diamond-wheels.net/ Both in Stockport and from what I have seen both do a very good job, prestige had a 458 Italia and AMG-SLS in when I went round,
  12. Diamond wheels or prestige wheels are roughly the same price, maybe £10-15 per wheel more, but finish is better and look a lot more professional.
  13. Should still be fine, speedo will be ever so slightly out, but nothing to worry about.
  14. Letter stating I want a full refund and reimbursement for a replacement wheel has now been sent recorded delivery, lets see how this pans out. I know a few final year/graduate law students from uni so i'm sure i can call in a favour with one of them...for beer tokens.
  15. Had some more knocking since sorting the above out, and i thought it was my droplink(s) as when i went over a speed bump it was fine (both wheels at the same time) but if 1 was raised berfore the other then it would knock. Anyway, bought some Mondeo shortened droplinks from ebay and they fit perfectly, 35mm shorter than stock fabia drop links and are really tight and strong. Time will tell how good they are, as the ones which came with my coilovers covered less than 1k miles before needing to be replaced (rubber perished and rolled back showing insides, and non-lock nut caused thread damage). Things will slowly start coming off as I put it back to standard (or as standard as I can) so quite a bit will be put up for sale in the coming weeks.
  16. Should be fine, I ran 7x17 et38 with 15&20mm spacers (front and rear), so et23 and et18 and had no issues with tyres outside arches. Tyre size should be 205/40/17.
  17. It will be Menzies Aviation as gate agents in Heathrow I believe. Me and a friend flew with BA 2 years ago, Manchester-Heathrow-Amsterdam We were business class as his dad had something like 750k air miles to use up, but staff couldn't do enough to make us comfy. Might just have been one of those days, fuel leaks of that scale are very rare, think i have only ever seen 1 (Thomson 737) at Manchester in the last 1.5 years but that was an epic leak, pretty much coming out at the same rate as it was going in...fueler didn't even realise until there was a nice big pool of it closing down 2 stands
  18. Had a drive down to Mitchell's Skoda yesterday for the meet, and could hear a knocking/banging noise over bumps/uneven road. Jacked up the front today and straight away found the problem. Carrier-caliper screw MIA... Replaced with a nice new one, with a drop more thread lock on it to make sure it doesn't make a break for it again. Whilst I did that, thought i might as well change the other screw and the same for the other side...just to be safe. Wound the coilovers up a bit as i couldn't live with scraping over speed bumps any longer....(how you people do it is beyond me ) No more knocking now
  19. Big thanks to Paul for sorting this out, went down a blast... Thankfully the weather held off. Looking forward to the next one.
  20. I'm currently having a mooch around Cheshire oaks, if anyone fancies getting here a bit early to miss traffic. There was an accident on the eastbound side of the M56 so traffic might be backing up.
  21. Had a reply back from Citizens Advice, Dear Mr ZIeba, Thank you for your enquiry to the Citizens Advice consumer service dated 13/07/2016. Your reference number for this enquiry is AW:13733932. We understand from your email that you paid £330 to have your alloy wheels refurbished. The trader caused damage to a wheel while carrying out the service, in addition, the service you received is substandard. Your rights and obligations Your contract is governed by the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which states that any service must be carried out with reasonable care and skill. This means the service should be carried out to the standard you would expect of a trader that is competent in that particular trade. If the trader has failed to meet these requirements you could look to hold the trader in breach of contract and pursue them for a suitable form of redress. You have the right to request a repeat performance of the service. Alternatively, when a trader does not appear to be able or willing to carry out the service again or, if a repeat performance is impossible and causes a significant inconvenience, you may request a price reduction of up to 100%. Any other costs you incur as a direct result of the breach of contract would be considered ‘consequential losses’ and you may also ask to be reimbursed for these costs. It is important to note that you would be expected to take all reasonable steps to keep such costs to a minimum, and you may also need to provide some evidence of what the losses are and why you believe that Smart Wheels would be responsible for those losses. As this is a service contract the onus or 'burden of proof', would be with you to show that the service provided was not carried out with reasonable care and skill. You may wish to have the work inspected to provide a second opinion, if this is necessary we would advise having the inspection recorded in writing from a trader in the same profession. We would also advise you take photos of any substandard work and/or damages where possible. You can read more about your rights under the Consumer Rights Act here. Your next steps Bearing in mind the information detailed above; we would suggest that you check any paperwork supplied by the trader to determine if there is a complaints procedure you could follow. Once you have exhausted that complaints procedure you could then to escalate your claim with the appropriate body. To expand further, some traders will outline a specific complaints procedure. Once that procedure has been exhausted you could approach the relevant Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Scheme or ombudsman as an alternative to court. The ADR scheme would then attempt to resolve the issue through mediation or arbitration. If the trader does not have a complaints procedure then we would advise that you write to the trader. We would suggest that any letter is sent via recorded delivery as this will provide proof of postage. Sample letters are available here. What we will do We will notify Trading Standards about this issue. Whilst this doesn't help you resolve your problem, it gives Trading Standards vital intelligence about how the trader operates their business. If you would like to discuss this further please call us on 03454 04 05 06 or reply to this email. Kind regards,
  22. Windows phone user here, so I don't get to play it :( Facebook feed is literally full of people playing it.
