  1. This article was interesting on BBC news. He used Freedom of Information act to find out council where aware and went via small claims court.http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-essex-25779402
  2. http://new.skoda-auto.com/en/models/superb-combi/technology It may be one of those items that may be on LHD cars and doesn't get swapped over to RHD models. There wording is this "When travelling on the rear seat, you can increase your leg room easily. Just use your own controls of the front passenger's seat to move it forward or adjust its height and angle at your will."
  3. Hi there The superb 4x4 i have is same height as non 4x4 version. I also came from full height 4x4 and mpvs over last decade. Yes i find it a bit more difficult getting in and out but the comfort once in more than makes up for this in my view.
  4. Rab I just collected my car on Friday 31st Jan And have SW version 6270 and map version 8048 same as in a photo above by Eyghon.
  5. As said it is ability to display either upon selection that is required, otherwise all those vehicles with only digital numeric speedos would be illegal.
  6. Raptor i just got one of these carpets cheap on ebay same as in this pic as too dark to take a pic now, was only a couple of quid brand new. As i don't have rail system or anything in boot it fits perfect.
  7. And more work done swapped to Nokian WR A3 Winter tyres on Audi alloys and mudflaps fitted front and rear.
  8. I collected mine yesterday and also noticed some misting at corners of headlamps however today ok. Also noticed this in the manual which i have included below, this will probably be a get out clause however if it kept misting i would complain. Also same as you no extra controls on passenger seat Note The headlights may mist up temporarily. When the driving lights are switched on,the light outlet surfaces are free from mist after a short period, although the headlight lenses may still be misted up in the peripheral areas. This mist has no influence on the life of the lighting system.
  9. Yep also Standard on mine and honestly had to look to see the wires so i am happy so far.
  10. Well some bits moved out of house and into car Boot nets, Boot carpet, window deflectors and vanstyle blinds. Still got to do mudflaps and fit winter wheels but than can wait.
  11. 2014 FL Superb CR170 Elegance 4x4 DSG Estate, Amethyst, black leather Interior, extras Hill Hold, Park assist, Towbar and spare wheel.

  14. Just off the phone from Dealer . Collect ours Friday 31st with towbar all fitted. Will come with age related plate then have to swap it to our personal plate but not bothered as at least will have the car .
  15. Been Quietly following this and the other BossFox threads and as a retired aircraft engineer have been impressed with standard of work. When you want to go Gas turbine let me know . But back on serious note this is one hell of a project being carried out and take my hat off to you and the people doing the work.
  16. No more news yet, resisting urge to phone. Know they are also fitting towbar, so may delay mine by a couple more days. I know reg as it is personal plate, will look like an early release of the 14 plates as it starts J14.
  17. Just a quick search for part number on google throws up a few places including ebay. No idea about supplier or whether price is same as VW garages http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Original-VW-LED-1K8943021-Volkswagen-1K8943021C-Golf-Scirocco-Amarok-Passat-/170924988000

  20. Thats far better as it is the CCA value which is the one to bear in mind during winter. Cold cranking amperes (CCA) is the amount of current a battery can provide at 0 °F (-18 °C)
  21. Hi Raptor, I was told same to expect car end of Jan first week of Feb so keeping fingers crossed. Have winter tyres window deflectors mudflaps and other bits ready to fit.

  23. That looks good. Are those the Thule areo bars you are using? as much prefer that style over ones that come and stick out the ends.
  24. Hello I have an isofix rear seat in current car with side airbags for my grandson rearward facing till 4 year old. The research i did was that rearward facing child seat couldnt be in front seat with passenger air bag active, but no mentions on side airbags. The euro ncap tests even show the curtain airbags in rear going off with child seats next to them. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uayRqZIJyOs Yes i know octavia but is a current 2013 model Also here specific mention of side airbags http://www.childcarseats.org.uk/choosing/airbags.htm
