Colour choice is really poor at this stage. I understand some of the reasons for it such as cost and the fact that its a big in the fleet market but very disappointing all the same.

I've seen them with even more mileage than that too. I had a 1.9tdi Octavia at one stage and loved it. Doubt any of the newer small petrol units such as the 1.0 tsi would ever get close to that!

Welcome! The Octavia will be very different from the early Fabia.

If well looked after, you can get 400/500k miles out of these engines.

Will be starting to think about this later on in the year and still inclined towards the Superb. Despite having had three (and several Octavias before) and looking for a change, there is nothing out there as a viable option. Camry is closest (too bland though) but I do huge motorway mileage and hybrid doesn't suit yet. Mondeo/Passat is a step back IMO as I place the Superb in a slightly higher class. Second hand A6/E Class is an option but less warranty, higher running costs and probably more money for a year old one of those compared to a new Superb. Facelift Superb is not hugely different (apart from the hideous lettering on the rear) but that's no bad thing so will certainly be taking a look anyway...

Hope the full LEDs will be available as standard in higher end models and not an option across the range. Having experienced LEDs on other cars now, the bi-xenon setup is just dated now.

If that is close to the final version, then it will be very close in looks to the A6 on the road, between the rear end design and the light cluster arrangement and that's no bad thing. Think I'll definitely be de-badging if I go for another one 😫
