  1. Amazing isn't it. Currently pay £217.00 per month repayments for a loan on a 09 plate 1.2 corsa and £33.00 per month insurance. As of Tuesday for an extra £100 on the car and £20 per month on insurance I'll have a brand new octavia vrs. I know times are hard in general for the country but I think this is a steal. Free road tax for first year, only £30 after. No mot for 3 years and service is included. Anyone else seen the light with a new car?
  2. No no thanks for the reply. I didn't want people who hadn't had it on their car comment. If you've got it on and think its a waste that's fair enough.
  3. Looking for replies from people who have actually had this put on their car (and seats etc) and what your thoughts are on it. Please don't reply saying "waste of money, don't know why you bothered etc" as I aren't interested about that. I've selected it on mine and the promises made in the booklet seem quite good. Just wondered if this is actually the case. Thanks.
  4. Shame. Wonder if anything later down the line will come out to allow for this.
  5. Can it be added after the car is built? How much is it to have it factory fit?
  6. What do you think to the colour maxi dot? The one I test drove was just a standard one and was nice enough but can't wait to pick mine up with the colour one in
  7. I would also be interested to know what sub/amps if any can be fitted to the bolero
  8. Using Bluetooth audio can you not control the music using the in car system? How easy is the item in question to fit?
  9. Ended up settling with the standard radio. Quoted in excess of £2300 to retrofit an Amundsen and the figure exceeded £3300 for the Columbus. Isn't a straight swap unfortunately and the highly inflated man hours as a result of all the work make it very much a crazy decision to make.
  10. Interesting results. Does the car take a while to warm up at this time of year? I'm wondering if more miles and warmer weather may improve some what the cars economy. That being said I bought the car for its power as much as it's economy
  11. Just had a call off the dealer. Seems the kenwood isn't fully comparable and won't work. The Columbus will be a huge amount more because of the hole new parts and the price of the nav it's self. Just waiting to hear back on the Amundsen. I don't want to loose any functionality for the sake of nav which I can use my phone for on the odd occasion I use it. Will update in due course
  12. Just wondered what diesel vrs owners are getting mpg wise (with what type of roads) and how many miles it is resulting in per tank. Also is the figure increase as the total mileage is or is it fairly good out of the box so to speak? Thanks
  13. Costing £1200 all in for the unit and what ever else goes into fitting it including wiring and facia. Said its a straight fit and is virtually identical in how it looks. I'll find out next week how it goes. From what I've seen on youtube the visual a/c and rest of interface commands and options are the same.
  14. They did say it would all be compatible yeah. Just wondering if it is the case.
  15. Hello Just ordered a 63 plate octavia vrs (it was a cancelled order so lucky to get hold of a new one) and unfortunately it didn't come with the Columbus sat nav which I wanted. The dealer offered the kenwood one as an alternative. He said it would work as the standard balero unit would, the only thing would be that I wouldn't be able to answer the calls using the touch screen and I would have to use the steering wheel/stalk instead. Firstly is this true or will the touch screen work when answering calls. Secondly will everything else be as is for the balero I.e will I be able to stream music from my phone to it via blue tooth and will all the screen functions work as the balero too? Lastly will the unit functions work with the trip computer screen too? My only concern that is if the kenwood unit sacrifices any of the functions just to have a trick sat nav unit wouldn't be worth it for me.
