I've traded in my 63 vrs for a 16 plate and the bleep on lock/unlock is no more. Tried searching all the menus and can't find an option for it. Option removed or am I missing it?

My understanding is when on auto the car will send air through all the vents. By pressing one of the buttons for face, feet etc you are making the decision on where the air is directed only and thus removing the cars auto feature. Whether the car varies the percentage of air through each vent I'm not certain.

Thank you !

I have a 63 plate tdi vrs which will be traded in shortly for a 16 plate. Do the newer cars have the drivegreen function? Can't say I noticed it on my current vrs. Page 133 of the manual. Thanks

I'm wondering if anyone has modded their chrome front grill black? I quite like the colour coded wing mirrors but fancy blacking the chrome surround on the grill. A. is it easy to remove the chrome grill? B. methods for blacking it? Spraying? Wrapping? Thanks

Hello, Every now and then my long term trip seems to reset. Sometimes it seems to coincide with fuelling but more often than not it is very random. At first I wondered if holding the trip reset under the speedo may have been the cause but I'm not convinced how this could be the case due to it not always being around refuelling time. Anyone else having this issue? What does holding the mileage reset down actually do, as just a simple push seems to reset the mileage for me. Thank you. Luke.

Had a quick search of this forum for a thread on getting the standard vRS wheels refurbished. Two of mine are now nicely curbed through driver error and minor mishaps and as It bugs me that they are curbed I wondered how easy these types of wheel are to refurbish. I asked one of the guys at skoda about returbs and they said as the wheel was polished it's quite difficult but seemed more like they were trying to fob me off. I'm guessing a referb will be far cheaper than the £300+ per wheel new. Prices, experience and before/after pics welcome.

8ft greenhouse. Will it fit?

Hmm I'm thinking that too. Only other option would be to tie down the sections and if any hang out of the boot to have it tethered down. -

Ps I have the hatch -
Wanting to buy a 8ftx6ft greenhouse off eBay. Longest sections are 8ft or 2.5m long. Just wondering would I be able to flatten the front passenger seat and flatten the rear seats and fit it in to save £50 van hire. I'm not with the car at the minute as the mrs is at work with it but just wondering if anyone has tried fitting anything like this in. Cheers

Orange warning light for cruise control
Lamboluke replied to Lamboluke's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
Booked in, earliest they could do was 22nd, this is with a courtesy car (either a citigo or a rapid space back). £10 insurance waver for 1-5 days cover. Not too bad. -
Orange warning light for cruise control
Lamboluke replied to Lamboluke's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
Oh dear. Was hoping it would be a simple job. Although software could be plug and play maybe? That' seems harsh but yeah might try another dealer and see what their timescales are. Thanks -
Anyone had this? It's intermittent and engine on/off is a temp fix but not an option when wanting to use it when in motion. Light is a steering wheel and an exclamation mark under the maxi dot. Phoned the dealer and told to phone tomorrow and speak to service dept to see when they can look at it. Also re courtesy cars do they have to provide them? They said its a 3 week waiting list but 'we won't leave you stranded', what ever that means. We go to newquay soon (360 mile one way) and I want to use the cruise control so I hope it's a quick fix.

I have an issue with my stop start now which is every now and then. No error messages come up but occasionally the car doesn't engage the stop start. I know about the conditions that need to be met etc, that isn't the issue. When it doesn't engage stop start is normal circumstances and I've got onto the vehicle status section on the info screen, it says 'engine must be running'. Well, obviously the engine is running so what on earth is the issue? Anyone experience this?

Does this work when the car is in motion also?

Headlight washers - how do they fix the issue?
Lamboluke replied to Lamboluke's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
Will see what they say on Tuesday for mine then -
I'm having a paint work repair done on my vrs this coming Tuesday and I'm going to mention the headlight washers to them. I've read it's a quick fix but I just wondered if anyone knows what they actually do to prevent them from protruding after use. I know not everyone has had this issue but I know a fair few have. Thanks

Are you using the lumbar support?
