  1. Make him an offer, im sure he would take £230 for it, that gives you enough to get some good quality jubilee clips for less than £250! somebody buy it, thats a bargain, if i hadnt already fitted a universal cooler (which im more than sure will not be as efficient as this) i would snap it up now and arrange a courier myself..
  2. Even i would buy that at that price! i would never remove it from a car though, more hassle than its worth, include it in the sale if you value your time! 5 hours it took me!
  3. Hey man, im actually in Bucharest too! But I am supposedly going down to Constanta quite a bit also. I currently have an apartment out in baneasa by the zoo/embassy seems like a nice safe area imo. I would be up for a meet up, when are you next coming out here? Im glad you like it here as well. I didn’t think I would like it, but im actually in love with the place. Wait, what, a Romanian gypsy witches school, that sounds fking horrible! See im kinda lucky, I will probably never see these bad places, I live in sector 1 and work within sector 1, im never going to go out of my way to see them, if you know what I mean? It would be an experience to do so though! The strays I have dealt with so far have been pretty friendly, and theyre just down and want looking after L I really would love to take one home and give it a second chance. Urgh don’t get me started on business, that’s where it gets veryyyy tricky, im finding it hard using my UK LTD company out here, im struggling to get my residency registered (which is costing me £500+ disgusting!) as well as other things, I wont go into them ha. I cant wait to get a car so I can go out and explore a little more/not be limited to what you can do in a taxi!
  4. im running these: http://www.camskill.co.uk/m54b0s103p111331/Vredestein_Tyres_Car_Vredestein_Ultrac_Sessanta_-_215_40_R17_87Y_XL_TL_Fuel_Eff_%3A_E_Wet_Grip%3A_C_NoiseClass%3A_1_Noise%3A_67dB big improvement over my continental contact 3s which i was running prior, i was usually spinning through 1st and then a little into second, in the dry, and hitting the limiter upto around 100mph in 4th then into 5th in the damp, which as we know, isnt too safe now is it... now i have spin through first, flooring it, but its not sit there and spin, you actually move, then zero slip in second, in the wet, i spin 3rd and a little in 4th but nothing too bad! good tyres, best ive tried so far, and cheap!
  5. This is going to be a long post: I was on things like trip adviser and the likes looking at reviews of the place, i was not looking forward to coming here one bit! This is the common misconception of romania, I thought if i had my fabia over here it would get nicked, i thought it was going to be a bad place, but living here for around a month now, i have found: people are stupidly friendly and extremely helpful. (landlord for example, he gave me 10 days rent free, and because i was just getting set up here and im 'young he said' didnt ask for any money until i get paid, the money which i will be giving him is 2000 euros as well so not petty cash!) i haven't seen one donkey, YET! haha.. i've seen one traditional romanian looking old lady. and im out every day! dogs, there is an issue with strays, but nothing like the internet makes out, working 7 days a week and being out of the house from 6am-11.30pm most days has shown me quite a bit. there are packs, but the majority are friendly, they just want some food and a pat on their head. LITERALLY (i want to addopt them all!) english is very common within young people, it gets a bit harder if youre dealing with older people like taxi drivers. it helps to have things wrote down. Security is BIG here, these guys have H2 hummers/new pickups, branded with security logos, everybody and anybody has security sitting outside, i think here it is considered a sign of wealth, here in romania, they believe in company stamps and wax seals still for things to be official. CARS, in all seriousness, there are a lot of Daceas, but these daceas are new as in within the past 5 years old imo, you have the odd renault 12/pickup floating around but even these are kept in very good condition. but now: i have seen 2 aventadors since friday, a couple of c63s, m3s, there is a ferrari garage on the OUTSKIRTS of town with about 12 sitting outside, WITHOUT a guard post out front! :/ there are a lot of new audis, there are 2 RS4s just where i live, i have seen more range rovers and G class mercedes here than i did aberdeen. Motorbikes, these guys have their plates bent so radar cameras cant get them. its not uncommon at night time to hear them going through all 5-6 gears! speaking to locals, you have the odd thief, but the bulk of them have left romania, theyre now in the uk/rest of europe. i get around 4-6taxis every day, I have been ripped off by one taxi at 11pm, in the first week i was here, this came to 60ron instead of around 13ron, this is still only £11 though and it was a fair distance we travelled. oh best of all, im not lying here! not even slightly exaggerating the truth at all 8-10 women are disgustingly attractive, i brought my girlfriend, she felt extremely threatened, ugly and out of place (SHE ISNT!), she thought i had set it up and it was like a model casting.. love her to bits, but would 100% trade her. haha cars = amazing! city = amazing! women = OUTSTANDINGLY AMAZING! food = AMAZING I would literally, no word of a lie, stay here the rest of my life. this is a hidden gem, and THE place to be IMO! you woudlnt think it just by what pops into your head when romania is said. a girl on my girlfriends plane asked if she was coming here to voulenteer for the summer... save money, buy property now, as you will make a killing in the next 5 years, you just have to look out of my office window and see all these new buildings being built, the city is littered with cranes!
  6. I am, yes. reason being, im now working in romania, and its pretty tricky registering/insuring a car here after he 90days is up. so im figuring, get rid and get a new car.
  7. wallace ripped theres out and were fitting a newer one, and the lead time was something like 12 weeks... which could mean 3-4 months till it was fitted. they had a post on facebook a while ago. and jim king autotune has his sitting in storage as it was too noisy for his new garage... so none around aberdeen at the moment :( im in romania now anyway :( coming back for my car next month, bring all of mine and my GFs stuff over here, then ill be doing a road trip back to the uk later on when im on my next rotation, to sell the car. and that will be me out of the fabia world :( its been fun, i think a BMW 135i/335i are my next calling, remapped and a few bits they sit at around 400hp, which would be very nice.
  8. hey lucky i saw this! No no rolling road as the only place who had one within aberdeen had removed it. then when i went to visit my parents, could never get booked in anywhere! :/ so still no figures RE: i had modified the pipework, "silicone T piece, alloy joiner, silicone joiner". I have a list of cars i stay with and pass quite easily: mountune fiesta ST: passed very easily modified focus st 278hp, i pulled away from him. no sign of him pulling anything back. (Catback, decat, mildest dreamscience map, dreamscience induction kit) 2.0 leon cupra R, bumper to bumper. (catback) audi a3 3.0 diesel quattro, passed.
  9. I was actually thinking yesterday, seeing as im not in romania (dacia is literally the only car i see here) and will be looking for a new car in a few months, would i be able to fit a clio 182 engine into a sandero haha. this may be an option, if not, bmw 135/335 it is.
  10. wheres this place then? i would happily pay £450 for the bonnet..
  11. has anybody got part numbers or know where to buy that gearknob and steering wheel? wow, that interior is muchhhh better! i really like that
  12. I do really like the fiesta St and have considered chipping mine in a few times since buying it, thinking i should have went for the st! but after going against one (mine running bluespark) (before i fitted induction kit and intercooler) with the Mountune pack, destroying it, and then realising how much of a good all rounder the fabia is, completely changed my mind! then after doing intercooler, i was neck and neck with friends in leon cupra r ahead of a friends 270hp focus st etc, then fitting the induction kit, just nudged me a touch! class underrated cars, shame it doesnt have dab as standard :( the thing with this car is, it doesn't do one thing great, it does everything good, thats what it is, a good car. Very german. kinda gutted i may be getting rid of mine because im now located in romania/
  13. if its a VRS mk2, he doesnt have a maf. So wont have any issues like this.
  14. Wish people would search i posted this last week on a couple of posts... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/350592387058?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT and you will need this http://www.awesomegti.com/carcare/tools/schwaben-1-4tsi-coilpack-removal-tool
  15. Mr cheap here is working on another induction kit, not the horrible open cone that i had last time, but an actual carbon enclosed kit, not a cheap one either (Originally the sale price was supposed to be £169.99(once upon a time)), but i got it cheap due to it being listed incorrectly so far im about £65 into the whole kit, just waiting for the parts to turn up.
  16. Cheers george!! this happened not far from your place actually, the 50mph zone on the A90. this fits my suspicions.
  17. Driving yesterday, through a 50 zone, dropped it to third just before it went back to a 70 and i had the EML flash for a little while?? Anybody got any advice on this?? still havent received the coil i ordered last week.
  18. im sure they will, question is, do i buy one and swap it around, till the issue goes away or do i take the £80 hit and buy four and be done with it? ive got the money to, but i dont want to be wasting money when im potentially moving country.
  19. Yeah George, Plugs felt like they needed changing even before the box was fitted, when it was fitted it was clear something wasnt right with jurkyness and misfires throughout the middle of the rev range. changed plugs, issue was gone, but there was still a little something there.. ill get new coilpacks in a few days when i get paid.
  20. As i said in my post, this happens when hot also, for example, drove home from work, stopped off at the shop, get back in the car, issue is there. this isnt a limiter, it feels like its missing on one cylinder. like i have had in the past on numerous cars, thats why im mentioning it and asking about uprated coils which dont cost £700. gave this a go last night and this morning, issue is almost gone, even on hot startup the issue is still there a little, but its more than drivable now
  21. Just went out to measure, the t for the breather to connect to is cracked where the breather attaches to the plastic wrinkled pipe. hmmm. wonder how that happened. it feels really brittle, must have cracked recently as i cleaned the engine last sunday... new bits ordered now..
  22. Actually, ill get off my arse and measure tonight, i think i can do it slightly better to how i did it originally.
  23. see my issue was i measured wrong and bought 76mm :( Could i be cheeky and ask for rough guess on the overall length?
  24. cheers for all of that information i will give it a go when i leave work tonight!
