  1. I had an issue with Huawei smar****ch. Nothing new, web is filled with similar problems. Too many connections between too many devices. If one half failes, the others go the same way.
  2. As I said, it was just a guess. During Soviet times they never shut the construction machines off during wintertime in the Far East in Siberia because at -40 c there was no chance they could start up the bulldozer engine when the engine oil cools down. Fuel was cheap then.
  3. This is a place for dispute again. Around 100 C is the temperature when oil reaches it`s maxium but at which temperature does it reach to it`s working consistency? It might be very well about 50 - 60 C for 0w30. Just a guess.
  4. Does anybody wear a smar****ch? They can interfere pretty hardly sometimes.
  5. It has a ceramic electrical heater down in the vent piping. Works flawlessly even at -20 C, taking about 5 minutes to heat the cabin up enough.
  6. Does handsfree work? Or navigation announcements? I remember having kind of same problem once or twice. Adjusting radio volume it adjusted handsfree volume instead even me not using the handsfree at all at this time. You can see the volume source on the volume progress ribbon on virtual cockpit. Try to find sound or volume or siilar settings.
  7. Hope this works for MIB3 too - try soft reset. When headunit switched on hold down the power button for about 10 secs until headunit reboots completely.
  8. Wireless phone charger. And phone signal booster.
  9. Seems yes, you could do it. Still, 100 euros difference between Alibaba and original one could make a big difference. I would go with OEM one #kit with washer#.
  10. Looks like 2,5 to me. Do you have Android Auto on it? Is it wired operation or wireless?
  11. For Columbus for example if you have only Home and Menu buttons on left of the screen, it`s MIB 3. If more buttons, then its MIB 2.
  12. Be very careful choosing camera. As you can see, on the first picture the camera is on the left side of the handle and on the second picture it`s on the right side. Things might look good, but often they are not, if we are talking about chn stuff. Here is original camera: https://www.cars-equipment.com/en/shop/rear-view-cameras-18/oem-6v0827566h-rvc-rear-view-camera-2/#prettyPhoto Well, this site declares this camera can draw lines: http://vagtec.co.uk/eshop/skoda/kodiaq/genuine-skoda-oem-retrofit-kit-rear-view-camera-high-kodiaq.html I still would investigate a bit, because I doubt it can do it without module. But I am not sure, maybe newer cars has the feature onboard.
  13. Absolutely, if you want the guidelines. And you need video transformator anyway.
  14. I would pass all non original camera products. Leaking , video signal problems (chinese one on my Superb II) etc etc. And you need not only camera, but wiring harness and a module (cannot rmember it`s name) which draws all the lines on your screen and transponds the video signal to headunit.
  15. @Teir You mean personalising? Personalising is not connected to headunit anyhow, but yes, it definitely works for pre 2021 Kodiaq.
  16. If you ccreate an account, you can have favorites and home and work addresses and travel history. Does not cost anything But I guess you can use it also without registration.
  17. Not an apple user. But Waze will do all the job you need. It has almost the same functionality as Google Maps has - search by names, companies, etc etc. Only thing that is bit off is search for petrol stations (maybe some other POI-s as well, don`t know). Seems they prefer the ones that had paid for advertisement.
  18. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/waze-navigation-live-traffic/id323229106 No only always updated road maps, but speed cams, police hinding in the bushes, mouses walking in the ditches etc. There might be some speedcam apps available, but no one really uses them anymore.
  19. If you wanted some extra features you had to buy top model headunit. Navigation just comes with it. And it`s easyer to follow if you have virtual cockpit. I use both of them, mostly Waze though.
  20. No no. Onboard navigation is a gold milking goat. Even the annual map update cost has dropped from 300 to 40 euros, they still make tons of money on it.
  21. Use Waze and Android Auto instead. All speedcams and coppers on screen.
  22. Made quick googling and seems that there is no way to import personal poi-s to mib3 headunit. Strange.
  23. Not familiar with latest Columbus, but first search the settings if there is a possibility to download personal POI-s.
  24. You should have 4 buttons just around the roof operating knob. I have LHD car and left back button activates/deactivates interior lights with doors open.
