  1. Best I ever got on a long trip on 18" winter tyres was 6,5 l/100 km (44 ish MPG). Usually between 38 (extra urban) to 30 (urban) MPG (7,5 - 9,5 l/100 km).
  2. Once again, modern VW diesels do not have to achieve normal working temperature to start DPF regeneration. Once soot level reaches critical measure, DPF starts the regeneration no mater the engine temperature is. It takes some minutes though to get DPF temperature high enough (abot 580 centidegrees) to start the process. I did 390 000 km on my Superb II with no DPF issues and current RS has done 165 000 km. I do usually long trips, but some weeks I only drive to office and back (7 km one trip).
  3. I am afraid older versions of VCDS do not work. You need it updated to a software not more than a year old. But worth to try anyway. I`ve seen DAB related bytes somehere in radio/navigation module (cannot remember, but easy to find). I activated personalisation according to this: Module 09 (Central Electrics) Security access -> 31347 Adaptation Submenu - Personalisierung - Personalisierung_Profilfunkion -> profiles_active (Default profiles_inactive) - Profil_Variante -> Konto (v. 1.x) (Default Schluessel) - Personalisierung_aktiv -> active (Default not active) to be verified (theoretically it is not necessary to modify them): - Aktivierungsoption_im_HMI-Menue_sichtbar: active - Benutzerkontenverwaltung_in_HMI-Menue_sichtbar: active - Personalisierungsfunktionen_in_HMI-Menue_sichtbar: active - Anzahl_Benutzerkonten: 4 - Automatische_ Schluesselzuordnung: not active - PSO_FSG_Setup2_Bit_1: active - PSO_FSG_Setup2_Bit_2: active - PSO_FSG_Setup2_Bit_3: not active - PSO_FSG_Setup2_Bit_4: not active Module 17 Instruments Security Access > 47115 Long Coding (Text mode) - Personalization -> Yes Module 36 Seat Adjustment (Driver) Security Access > ? Long Coding (Text mode) - func_key_memory_personalisation -> Personalisierung aktiv
  4. Not sure they can. Reading the forums here and there looks like VAG has done a great effort to close any channels that could be altered via alternative software. When I received my RS in June 2019 VCDS was not able to read a great number of channels at all. And the same engine has beenthen already on market for several years on VW models.
  5. If it`s MIB 2,5 headunit (which it seems to be), then Personalisation can be activated with VCDS / OBD11.
  6. You have to check the period from the last synchronisation on main screen. Sometimes it`s pretty old and you have to sync manually to get updated information.
  7. I never used SD car for map update, only USB stick.
  8. Cannot remember exactly, but earlier you could copy the whole folder to stick and update. During last map update few weeks ago encountered the same problem Formatted to fat32 just in case and copied the MIB folders and metadata to root directory and only then the update started.
  9. So, DCC comfort mode works only when dampers are already finished? They must have sold me the car with faulty dampers then. And I am not talking about the speeds. Just at the same speed the bump crossing is way softer.
  10. DCC does a great job on speed bumps.
  11. Right. Briskoda is the place of the Only and The Holy Truth. Not a discussion place. All other opinions are strictly forbidden.
  12. He is talking about the new MIB 3 headunit model.
  13. You cannot get Waze working on VC, even with newest headunits. Wonder why, when Seat can do it (according to forum member).
  14. I managed to display both working Waze and non working native maps at the same time for the firsta tie after update, but not anymore. Still, if the route is not activated, native can be displayed on VC at the same time with Waze on headunit. Which was impossible for the last half a year.. But as soon as you start Waze guidance, native map disappears and text about working navigation on mobile device appears on VC. From the other side, both Waze and Google maps can have active guidance at the same time so you can easily switch betwen them. I don`t remeber this feature working before.
  15. Kodiaq has service interval of 15 / 30 000 km or once a year.
  16. Waze got an update during last days and in some occasions there is again possible to display native map on VC with Waze running on headunit. Haven`t tested deeper though.
  17. I have Thule Motion XXL 670 litre box attached to Thule Wingbar Edge. At least on Dunkirk - Dover ferry nobody was interested in roofbox height and there was still hell a lot of a room to the ceiling when I was aboard.
  18. Also they have wireless Android Auto possibility.
  19. It could be possible on MIB 3 headunits (MY 21) but it is definitely not possible on MIB 2,5 headunits (pre 2020).
  20. Hold your finger on small screen until popup menu appears.
  21. Returned from country house today. 200 km trip, snowing. About half the way I was driving without any cruise control, because the snow blocked the radar. No radar, no ACC.
  22. No, I have all the bells and whistles, I don`t have to use my phone with or without Android Auto to listen to storaged music. And I believe it`s way easier to navigate in USB drive folders from Maxidot for example than from Android Auto.
  23. You cannot even play Waze at the same time with original navigation anymore. Cannot understand why they had to close this feature down. So hardly there will be any improvement in the future.
  24. What is wrong with you scottish guys? Bad weather? Lousy beer? But it`s good to now you can play internal files from phone with Android Auto. I use mostly Spotify or SD card. Or Tune In radio to listen to home stations when abroad.
  25. USB pen drive will do fine. Android Auto allows you just stream from net platforms.
