  2. I have 225/45 18 Nokian WR A3 on mine and they are excellent. £118 each from Oponeo UK. Cheers Yves
  3. Very warm here too today, 20c, not great timing for my switch but there you go. 1st impressions of the Nokian WR3 are very good. I went for upsize 225/45 18 for better comfort and that's certainly been delivered, much, much more compliant than the OE Conti's which I've never been a fan of. What I wasn't expecting was lighter and more neutral steering! amazing. Only fly in the ointment is that they are slightly noisier on coarse road surfaces, fine every where else. Well worth the trade off for the other characteristics. The ride height has increased approx 10mm which is barely noticable in profile and wheel arch gap decreased by same amount. Car looks good on them. Bring on the snow! Yves
  4. I've been using these recently. Absolutely Superb.

  7. Interesting stuff. I'm putting a new set of Nokian WR3's on mine this weekend in 'up size' 225/45 R18. Let you know how I get on Yves
  8. I recently bought my first new Skoda (Superb Estate Elegance) car after 10+ years of loyalty to BMW. Impressed so far but only 6 weeks in and I'm also thinking about changing the standard 18 inch Trinity wheels! Too uncomfortable..... Favourite for me is a set of 16/7.5j Wolfrace Lugano rims with either 225/50 or 225/55 tyres. Both sizes fit nicely and dont mess the speedo up by more than 2mph. My speedo is already reading low apparently. See here : http://www.wolfrace.com/fitmentguide/wizard_step_3.php?pc=LU75638B72-0 Anyway, concerning the Trinity's, I have found that increasing the pressure in the tyres to midway between min/max actually helps the ride quality. Found this on other cars too. What you are doing is forcing the suspension to work a bit harder rather than the tyre taking more of the shock than it should and.... Try it. Cheers Yves
