When I was ordering mine in June I saw it and asked the dealer to add it and I didn't order any of the other things like heated seats or screen. Mence my thinking was the same for £30 it's a matter of course. But I do wish now that I'd added the heated screen but the thing that put me off that was that I had to have the heated seats with it. Yes as far as I am aware the only difference is the Nav. Columbus though is a totally different kettle of fish giving you Dolby 5.1.... I have specced Canton and Amundsen and now thinking was the £500 on sat nav worth it... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Has anyone considered a plan B if they're vRS doesn't deliver in time? I've been told wk 36 but not holding out for it as I ordered at the end of June. Would be interested if people have ordered then cancelled and gone for something else..if so what ? And if so have you got deposits back ? I want the vRS but am thinking is it really worth the merry go round .....

Just tried to get them added to my order but as I'm week 36 it's not possible. So good news and bad news I guess... Means I should get my car by end of Sept but I'll have to fold mirrors myself !

It was an option when I ordered mine in June but you do have to add the electrically adjustable front seat to get it on the vRS. I didn't bother as I wasn't to fussed about spending £700 on an electric seat!

I remember asking when I ordered my VRS and they said that the octavia doesn't have a TV Tuner. Only the Superb L and K does. Hope that helps. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I ordered 18th June and have a build week of 36 which seems to have stabilised but not locked in at status 20 yet. Regular log ins to trackmyskoda.com are continuing... I hadn't added the warranty to my order but after speaking to my dealer I have now added it. My order was at the allocated week stage (wk36) so I guess pretty easy to add before build. I have the new order confirmation and it seems to be added like an extra as it is given a code like the extras. So might be worth checking order confirmations. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I've just ordered after using carfile. I compared drivethedeal and carwow but carfile was the cheapest saving me about£4k off list price with extras on a VRS. It was very straight forward spoke to carfile who confirmed my order and the following day the dealership rang me to confirm all details sending me an email with my final order etc. I signed it and sent it back and then paid £500 deposit to the dealer... Now playing the waiting game until Skoda build it I ordered week beginning 23/06/2014 and have a provisional build week of week 35... But expecting that to change! So really the only dealing you have with the broker is the initial phone call and after that everything is handled by the dealership. I tried to get a carwow dealer to match carfile but they couldn't get anywhere near it not could my local dealer, fortunately the dealership carfile have put me in touch with isn't to far away! To sum up it is a very straight forward process and takes out the haggling with salemen, I can't stand them! Tell me about it... I've been dithering since April and wish I hadn't and had just gone ahead and ordered it then at least I'd now be 2 months into the wait! The dealer did say it could be shorter but it all depends on if someone cancels an order similar to mine... Wishful thinking !

I've just ordered a VRS and been quoted approx 5-6 months for a VRS. I considered the Elegance and was quoted 4-5 months... Apparently the extras don't make much difference...

I am about to order an Octavia Estate 2.0tdi manual and wondered what others who have the car seem to be averaging mpg wise. Would be interested to know if it's gets better with time as well. I was very close to ordering an Octavia 2.0tdi Elegance but think the VRS looks much better and there didn't seem to be much in the official mpg figures. Appreciate that these are not real world figures so would be interested to hear from those of you who have one. On another note I am looking at using a car broker (carfile) for placing the order as they seem to be the cheapest getting 14% off. Anyone had any experiences with them or any other brokers? Hello all I'm just about to order an Octavia VRs estate. I'm going to go for the metal grey with the standard Gemini wheels. I'm thinking of the following extras and I would be interested in thoughts and recommendations. Are they all worth getting or not and am I missing something that I may want later. One thing I've not added is cruise control as I think it is standard on the VRS, I'm coming over from a 3 Series and as you know they hardly come with any extras ! 1. KESSY keyless entry and start 2. Sunset glass from B pillar. How dark is it ? 3. Spare Wheel 4. Black Design Package. Would be interested to see what this looks like if anyone has any images? 5. Park distance control front and rear. 6. Multi Function Display. Very interested in hearing what others ordered and whether it is worth it or not. Thanks in advance!
