  1. An interesting read...……. https://www.vwroc.com/forums/topic/34380-dreaded-β€œerror-leave-vehicle-only-when-selector-lever-in-p’-car-out-of-warranty/
  2. This kit should sort your suspension out https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/332880386514
  3. Shy - wtf are you doing? Have you had bump to the head? If it's a matter of saving money - you cant take it with you mate
  4. I bought my 280 Sportline wagon a year ago. I thought i'd done enough research before buying it, but I hadn't. in my opinion, it's a great load lugger, but the suspension is way too wallowy. I should have got one with DCC. I don't like the chrome on L&K, which is one of the reasons why I ignored it. I paid a grand for the supply and fitting of uprated shockers and uprated rear anti roll bar, and this has sorted the naff suspension. Apart from that, I've no complaints. :)
  5. When I bought my car last November, the dealer wouldn't budge an inch on price. In fact, I felt like smacking him in the mouth when he only offered me 200 quid for my trade in (which I sold privately for much more). Good luck with your search. I can't understand why prices are so high - it's a skoda ffs.
  6. Stop putting tuning idea's in my head, you'll give me more sleepless nights I'm booked in next week for the stg2 flash. I've already got the quote for the milltek downpipe (fitted) as the apr one is N/A, and TVS upgrade has already been mentioned. I've got the idea of fitting golf r estate scorpion back boxes, but I prefer the sound of the remus ones for the r estate, but it seems you can't get these without buying a full system. Stuff that - have you seen how much it costs! I look forward to seeing your stage 2 results. Towing is only a part time thing - caravan weekends, holidays etc etc.
  7. Maybe you meant to write "in preparation for my stage 3 upgrade" ? As much as i'd love to, I can't go there. I tow a caravan, so I can't be hanging around at the bottom end waiting for a big turbo to spin up. Just curious about this as the centre res is not a bottleneck at least until 420-430bhp of mild hybrids, which are above a 380-400bhp stage 2 anyway. I want a freer flowing exhaust as possible - Plus I like it loud. I'd love some comparison data (times more than bhp actually) for a stage 1 > stage 2 switch... I've heard 2nd hand that my motor is close to 400hp as it is. A facebook friend of mine is close to the guys that tuned it. I can't be looking at draggy times, as I need to concentrate on my van not being torn off when booting it Not that there are any stage 2 tunes available for my 272 yet though Should have got yourself a 280 instead Sorry Roscio - no photo's...…….. yet
  8. Inspired by Roscio's stage 3 efforts, today I have had fitted a 3inch centre exhaust section, in preparation for my stage 2 upgrade. The centre res has been replaced with this https://vibrantperformance.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=1527_1032_1054&products_id=292&osCsid=7314c85bb8343fbbdc280f8761ae5ae4 All in all the new sound isn't intrusive as I thought it might be, so I am happy indeed. 250 quid for the centre section pipework fitted, and 64 quid for the resonator itself. A local powerflow shop did the job.
  9. Well, that's blown my tuning ideas out of the water. I've just enquired about moving to apr stage 2 and i'll have to settle for a milltek downpipe instead. The apr downpipe is now discontinued, and anyone wanting an apr stage 2 tune will have to have it flashed before 7th September.
  10. regarding the wipers, se the last post on this https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/456246-haunted-wipers/
  11. Doesn't the bcs downpipe need to be made on site? if so, why not let them make your 3inch exhaust system - they may do you deal I've been advised to get NGK R7437-8 IRIDIUM spark plugs for stage 2 I would imagine you'd need an oil cooling system adding for that turbo upgrade too.
  12. Try the 'A' button, next to the handbrake button.
  13. that downpipe is for FWD only.....
  14. with plastidip……… ive also done door handles and bottom of the door trim, but I haven't got pictures of that.
  15. I plastidipped my badges and chrome lettering on the boot. It looks alright to me.
  16. Wow - that is a big caravan. It wouldn't phase me towing something that big with my Superb, but Op, would your car have enough torque to pull it?
  17. I don't believe there are stiffer springs of the same height, as that is what I would like for mine. The only stiffer ones I am aware of are lowered ones, which is of no use to us caravanners.
  18. But leather seats are easier for the mrs to clean Cookie And the only fart you'll get from a superb is the one sitting behind the steering wheel
  19. And so can you Shy when i'm in cornwall in September
  20. Cookievts - Any plans to tow anything? You might want to discount the golf if that's the case.
  21. My mind was obviously elsewhere when I was doing this - I was going to hospital for physio The diesel nozzle does go in the filler neck, but not all the way in. I thought I had dislodged the housing in the filler neck which is why I carried on trying to get the fuel in. Every now and then fueling would stop, so I persevered with the trigger until it got to about 20 quid and then I got fed up. I picked up the 'vpower' pump, and it didn't even register that the pipe I was holding was black not green.
  22. Tell me about it. Ive been hit with the news that I need 1 new tyre now and 3 need replacing soon. Ive just paid for one holiday, ive got another to pay for next week. After last weeks fuel debacle and paying for todays service
  23. Didn't you know he's a tight arse
  24. My car has gone for service at Skoda today. I mentioned to them that last week I locked the car and walked away. I went back to the car 5 minutes later and the rear passenger door was open, but yet there was no alarm. Skoda have called me back just now to tell me that this is normal. If you lock the car with a door wide open, you are not given a warning/beep. This can't be right can it? wtf?
  25. I understand that a stage 2 map has to be used to get the benefit from the downpipe, but it's all a matter of cost at the moment - 2 holidays to pay for etc etc I haven't measured any times - I wouldn't know where to start, but if I can work it out I think it would be a good idea to start a separate thread (272 & 280 comparisons) to keep Roscios thread on track. πŸ‘
