  1. Mine is a 280 estate. Are our exhaust systems the same? I've been to see an exhaust specialist about the same question. I asked about a golf r centre resonator delete and neither the golf f r or golf r estate would fit the skoda, because the resonator sits further back on the skoda. So I guess this answers your question if our systems are the same.
  2. My first remap was a so called 'apr low torque stage 1 remap', to run on 95 fuel. This gave 351 bhp, so I would say you are in the right area.
  3. An interesting read...……. https://www.vwroc.com/forums/topic/34380-dreaded-“error-leave-vehicle-only-when-selector-lever-in-p’-car-out-of-warranty/
  4. This kit should sort your suspension out https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/332880386514
  5. I've been feeling dog rough for the last 3 - 4weeks. No energy, not eating/can't eat/can't chew. Constantly sweating then shivering. Bed wet through with sweat. Sore joints, It's been a pain to walk. Sometimes struggling to breathe properly. The mrs ( a nurse) organized a covid test (3 weeks ago). Nearest place for it was Doncaster airport. I went on the Friday and by sunday i'd been texted a negative result. 2 weeks passed and I'm still feeling the same, so the mrs organized a home test this time - because the doctors at 111 suggested I should do another, The test kit came on the monday evening via amazon delivery, from Glasgow! Did the test, which nearly made me puke btw,and sent it back Tuesday morning at the post office. I'm still waiting for the result, and im still feeling **** In between all this, ive been told my hip op is still on hold, and ive been informed i'll have to have surgery to my left shoulder, as I've got a snapped tendon. What with a finger that's been pinned back on earlier this year, im having a great year. At least im alive, but life wont be **** forever will it.
  6. Shy - wtf are you doing? Have you had bump to the head? If it's a matter of saving money - you cant take it with you mate
  7. I bought my 280 Sportline wagon a year ago. I thought i'd done enough research before buying it, but I hadn't. in my opinion, it's a great load lugger, but the suspension is way too wallowy. I should have got one with DCC. I don't like the chrome on L&K, which is one of the reasons why I ignored it. I paid a grand for the supply and fitting of uprated shockers and uprated rear anti roll bar, and this has sorted the naff suspension. Apart from that, I've no complaints. :)
  8. When I bought my car last November, the dealer wouldn't budge an inch on price. In fact, I felt like smacking him in the mouth when he only offered me 200 quid for my trade in (which I sold privately for much more). Good luck with your search. I can't understand why prices are so high - it's a skoda ffs.
  9. Stop putting tuning idea's in my head, you'll give me more sleepless nights I'm booked in next week for the stg2 flash. I've already got the quote for the milltek downpipe (fitted) as the apr one is N/A, and TVS upgrade has already been mentioned. I've got the idea of fitting golf r estate scorpion back boxes, but I prefer the sound of the remus ones for the r estate, but it seems you can't get these without buying a full system. Stuff that - have you seen how much it costs! I look forward to seeing your stage 2 results. Towing is only a part time thing - caravan weekends, holidays etc etc.
  10. Maybe you meant to write "in preparation for my stage 3 upgrade" ? As much as i'd love to, I can't go there. I tow a caravan, so I can't be hanging around at the bottom end waiting for a big turbo to spin up. Just curious about this as the centre res is not a bottleneck at least until 420-430bhp of mild hybrids, which are above a 380-400bhp stage 2 anyway. I want a freer flowing exhaust as possible - Plus I like it loud. I'd love some comparison data (times more than bhp actually) for a stage 1 > stage 2 switch... I've heard 2nd hand that my motor is close to 400hp as it is. A facebook friend of mine is close to the guys that tuned it. I can't be looking at draggy times, as I need to concentrate on my van not being torn off when booting it Not that there are any stage 2 tunes available for my 272 yet though Should have got yourself a 280 instead Sorry Roscio - no photo's...…….. yet
  11. Inspired by Roscio's stage 3 efforts, today I have had fitted a 3inch centre exhaust section, in preparation for my stage 2 upgrade. The centre res has been replaced with this https://vibrantperformance.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=1527_1032_1054&products_id=292&osCsid=7314c85bb8343fbbdc280f8761ae5ae4 All in all the new sound isn't intrusive as I thought it might be, so I am happy indeed. 250 quid for the centre section pipework fitted, and 64 quid for the resonator itself. A local powerflow shop did the job.
  12. Well, that's blown my tuning ideas out of the water. I've just enquired about moving to apr stage 2 and i'll have to settle for a milltek downpipe instead. The apr downpipe is now discontinued, and anyone wanting an apr stage 2 tune will have to have it flashed before 7th September.
  13. regarding the wipers, se the last post on this https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/456246-haunted-wipers/
  14. Doesn't the bcs downpipe need to be made on site? if so, why not let them make your 3inch exhaust system - they may do you deal I've been advised to get NGK R7437-8 IRIDIUM spark plugs for stage 2 I would imagine you'd need an oil cooling system adding for that turbo upgrade too.
  15. with plastidip……… ive also done door handles and bottom of the door trim, but I haven't got pictures of that.
  16. I plastidipped my badges and chrome lettering on the boot. It looks alright to me.
  17. Wow - that is a big caravan. It wouldn't phase me towing something that big with my Superb, but Op, would your car have enough torque to pull it?
  18. I don't believe there are stiffer springs of the same height, as that is what I would like for mine. The only stiffer ones I am aware of are lowered ones, which is of no use to us caravanners.
  19. Trying to manage with one arm is really annoying me too. Earlier I tired to cook myself some dinner. Since I had my left index finger sewn back on, I've been really struggling with the simplest of things. Even getting dressed is difficult. My left wrist is struggling to weight bear, and my left shoulder is knackered. Whilst trying to do myself a fry up for dinner, I accidentally set fire to some kitchen towel as I tried to move the frying pan to the worktop. I need a servant that's for sure.
  20. My motor went to skoda last week for a service and I had 2 small complaints for them to deal with too. Service was fine and they fixed an issue i've been having with squeaky wipers. I also mentioned to them that you can set the car alarm with one of the back doors wide open, and that you don't get an audible warning from the alarm to tell you that you've left a door open. A mechanic came out, he took the fob off me, left one of my rear doors open and set the alarm. The wing mirrors folded in, but yet no audible warning to tell you that something is 'a miss'. He looked at me, and said 'i'll go and check one of the other superbs' Sure enough - That did the same. I said 'what kind of security is that then'? The mechanic didn't know how to answer. Octavia's do the same - And so does my neighbour's brand new kodiaq. It's simply not clever is it. To top this off, I've checked my service history on line, and skoda have updated it. Thing is, they have it down that my motor has 17,000 miles on it. That's 5000 miles less than when I bought the ****er last November! Simply stupid!
  21. But leather seats are easier for the mrs to clean Cookie And the only fart you'll get from a superb is the one sitting behind the steering wheel
  22. And so can you Shy when i'm in cornwall in September
  23. Cookievts - Any plans to tow anything? You might want to discount the golf if that's the case.
