  2. For better adherence, Skoda Switzerland and the local equivalent of the AA here suggests 16" winter tires for the Skoda Yeti, so fitting snow chains is not an issue.
  3. 45... In Zurich where I live I only see pensioners driving Yetis. But in Greece where we're on holiday, I mostly see parents in their 30s...
  4. It's a shame you chose that ugly blue. But then, like you said: "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I think it looks really cool. What's the inside like?
  6. You'll love the panoramic roof. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Hi I'm looking for a bag that I could fit and fasten between the two kids seats in the back. BMW makes one but I'm looking for something more adapted to the Yeti... and cheaper! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Same in Switzerland (though I'm not sure about the silver roof bars...) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I got 16" Forrester rims for my winter tires and 16" Helix ones for the summer.
  10. and here's my Swiss 2.0 TDI 140HP 4x4 also in Mato Brown. I love that colour… Winter tyres are mounted on 16" Forester rims (pictured), summer tyres will be on 16" Helix rims…
  11. My Skoda came with Continental ContiPremium Contact 5. They get good reviews in the various tests that I've read. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Roof Bars

No problems. I wanted to get the low profile Thule ones but the roof would hit the underside and the clamps of the roofbox while opening. Went for the Skoda ones instead. Very satisfied except for the fact that you can position them freely. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Looks like a first generation Qashqai. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. The Thule Wingbars were not compatible with my FL Yeti with sunroof and Thule roofbox attached. The glass roof would hit the clamps... I didn't go for the 775 because of the width and so I ended up getting the Skoda roof bars. And I'm satisfied.
  16. Thanks to all for the tips… and warnings! I'll have al look at the bump stops mentioned by BossFox.
  17. Hi Is there a way to adjust the boot door of a FL Yeti? Even though the boot is empty (no obstacles) I find myself having to slam the door in order for it to be properly closed.
  18. Hi, Mid-November we received our Skoda Yeti, in replacement for our VW Touran. It's an Outdoor 2.0 TDI 140 Ambition 4x4, 6 gear manual box, Matto brown metallic colour (beautiful!). Options ordered (amongst others) were: multifunction steering wheel, cruise control, Amundsen stereo / navigation system, phone connectivity kit, Climatronic, front and rear park sensors and panorama roof (amazing!). All in all we are very satisfied.
  19. Hi. I had the same issue with my VW Touran 1.4 TSI, bought second hand from Volkswagen Switzerland. At 35'000km the chain had to be replaced, a repair estimated to cost around 2'500€. I quickly and firmly made it clear to the dealer (AMAG) that it was out of the question that I pay for this, that I had bought a 9 month old Touran from them so as to avoid this kind of surprise. I got the usual "May I call you back in a few minutes, Sir? I'll check with management." A few minutes later I was told that a chain replacement under 100000km was not normal ("it should never happen.") and that the costs would be covered by the dealer.
