  1. My cats do not smell at all, they are both neutered/spayed, this was done very early so George never had a chance to start spraying as this can be a bad habit that is hard to stop once started. In fact, I have just smelt George's fur, he smells lovely, mainly 'cos he smells of my perfume as I am always hugging him, (he does protest at this though) He is like a living teddy bear to me:thumbup:
  2. I cannot believe it:eek:, we had snow before Christmas and the schools were closed for a week and I have a job interview today and we are snowed in again! FFS
  3. maybe its a female thing, but how can anyone resist this: I think I want another one
  4. I love a big, fat cat, thats why I wanted a Shorthair, I have always liked them, even when I was a kid, they are so big and sturdy-looking.
  5. I think it is the way the photo is taken She is the smaller of the 2, I think she is about 4.5 kg whilst the other one, George is 6.6kg, but thats about right for the breed, (British Shorthair) although they are getting a bit flabby, as the vet keeps telling me
  6. I don't like people who don't like cats I LOVE cats, they are easy going, gorgeous to look at, IMO, they are an easy pet to keep, although they do have downsides, like scratching bits of wallpaper and waking us up really early for breakfast, but they have a lot of good points to. My cats stay inside and have loads of toys, etc. My sister-in-law has said to us "I don't like their fur", as her reason for not liking them but I much prefer cats to people:D Here are my 2 lovelies:
  7. I HATE that cardboard box car ad  I watched it the first time and the "music" is just awful so now if it comes on, I turn it over:D
  8. I liked Survivors, cannot wait for the second series:thumbup:
  9. I like that article I have only had a Slimfast drink today and have a banging headache:(
  10. should I postpone the diet then? (again)
  11. I agree that it looks fake, its probably to scare off the birds, I could do with one of those
  12. well, someone has just tried to deliver a takeaway that we did not order and I am slowly getting sozzled with my cider
  13. you are so lucky, I would love to win the lottery and buy a detached house in the country, lovely and quiet
  14. I am on here and my other fav forum, as OH is watching Batman, whilst Christian Bale is nice to look at, the film is not really my cup of tea
  15. I am another one for Cyprus, but cannot say what the weather is like in April as we always go in July, lovely and hot
  16. We have had terrible neighbours in the past, we even sold our house at a loss just to get away from them, We have a semi-detached council house now, only lived here for 3 months. When we moved in the old lady on one side of us seemed very nice and friendly but then she started ringing the council to complain about our water pipes! She said she could hear them in her house when we turned the taps on, (even though there is a driveway between us ) The plumbers have been out numerous times and she still complained, the council have even done some work in her house free of charge just to shut her up moaning. She now totally blanks us,(even though I heard her say to the council that she does not blame us) as if we are the ones in the wrong so I just ignore her silly moo Now the problem is with the neighbours on the other side, they were quiet at first, but lately they have been really noisy, playing music (even a guitar on an amp) and the TV loudly late at night, Christmas Day was a right pain, they started at 11am and I went to bed at 1.30am and it was STILL going on! I know its Christmas and all that, so I have not complained although it is still going on every night since but I have written it all down and if it carries on, I will inform the council. They have 2 boys and I think they have bought them some kind of game, there was a load of banging on Christmas day and then a load of shrieking and banging non-stop for hours:finger: At the moment, I just go to bed with ear-plugs in and try to ignore them:D
  17. Speaking for myself, I try and buy most things off the internet. Its convenient and cheaper, I live in a small town and I hate going to the shops, there is hardly any choice and I will not venture out and about to the nearest large town, whats the point? Its take up so much time and hassle when you can just order items online and have them delivered to your door. I cannot get the things I need in my town so rely on the internet at lot. I have to go to Morrisons for the food shopping as they don't deliver and I hate Asda otherwise I would never go out! I really cannot see the appeal in "shopping" for fun, I only get things when I actually need them, not because I want them.
  18. My sprouts were lovely, in fact, (and I do say so myself, even though I did cook it) the whole Christmas dinner was lovely Got a turkey from the butcher and it was gorgeous too, a certain cat also loved it, he has had 4 bowls of it already
  19. I haven't been out, I never do over Christmas, although I will have to venture out on Monday as I need a suit for a job interview. My local Woolies is closing down today anyway so no idea if they have reduced anything further or not. I need to get some make-up so may have a look in Boots if they have any offers on
  20. We got our youngest daughter one as I knew it was what she wanted, but I am buggered if I know what it does, I am too old for all these new-fangled gadgets
  21. I feel unwell today, but I don't think its a virus, it may be the Baileys, wine and Carling I was drinking yesterday for 13 hours solid  and then when I went to bed, I couldn't sleep  can you be so drunk that you cannot sleep?? I have a bad headache today :(
  22. I got a doorstop in the shape of a cat Its kinda cute though:rolleyes:
  23. I love sprouts:D I tried, yesterday, to make my kids eat some for Christmas dinner, but strangely enough, there was only me eating them
